Oh snap!
Who: Roy Mustang, Jecht, YOU?
What: Drunk tattoo time!
When: Feb 8
Where: Various locations around the city. Depends on the prompt.
Warnings: Poor decision making? Mention of previous abuse.
Drunken Tattoo Contemplation- CLOSED, FOR JECHT
Roy's wounds from his imprisonment and torture at Santiago's command were almost out of sight. The worst of his bruises were fading now and easily covered with make up. For Pride that meant no more waiting. Mustang could do some actual good for the company by making money with that soon to be released album of his, and Kid showed up early in the morning to interrupt breakfast and bother Roy (and Genos?) with news of his now crammed schedule. Talk shows, photo shoots, radio shows, etc. all of it crammed into the week through Valentine's and to be done with good behavior.
As if Roy was going to be on his best behavior when he was so angry still. Between Santiago, what he had been forced to watch happen to his fellow prisoners, the words of the ghosts about Pride, and terrible nightmares about violence and war, he needed a drink.
That evening in the MANTICORE penthouse, Roy was pouring himself another drink and staring at his schedule for the next day. A photo shoot, really? It's hard to look attractive when you've been scowling at the thought of a tyrannical music label for the past week straight. That's when a thought crosses his mind.
"I should get a tattoo of the Pride logo on fire." That might make the people up top squirm.
Getting Inked Up- OPEN
He's doing this. He's actually crazy enough, angry enough, and drunk enough to do this. Roy is sitting in the chair at the tattoo parlor and trying to concentrate on the pictures mounted on the walls and the people walking by the window outside instead of the pain in his arm as the artist works.
Roy had chosen something much more sentimentaland mushy than his earlier ideas or Jecht's suggestions. If anyone in the parlor pauses to look or if someone squints through the window they might catch on that a name is being printed on his arm. It's the title of his upcoming album Elizabeth. Looks like it's going to turn out fancy judging by the sketch. There... might be a flower with it.
Nothing can stop him now! No regrets! Right?

Roy had chosen something much more sentimental

"What was your first tattoo?"

"I don't know. Flames don't sound that fun to me. It's what everyone expects. This won't be like a symbol I show off to everyone wherever I go. I should pick something surprising or... at least something that makes me happy when I'm alone looking in the mirror. As much as I play with fire, it's not the most sentimental thing to me."
As he rambles he sets his glass down and picks it up again several times, like a game.
"What kind of tattoos do women like?"

Back the drummer came, a piece of paper with a list of tattoo places on it thrust out towards Roy. "I mean what kind of a question is that, what do women like.... Women are people too, dumbass, they like different stuff."

"Some guys get tattoos for their mothers or their wives you know? They do it to honor someone." He puts his glass down on the counter loudly and raises a finger. "I want to wake up with more than a drunk tattoo. I wanna have a meaningful tattoo. Like. Elizabeth!" By now Jecht has likely heard the whole spiel about Roy's muse and how he nicknamed her Elizabeth.

Roy folds his arms. "What if I named my muse after a real woman who looks and acts just like her?"
Which came first? The muse that looks like the woman or the woman that looks like the muse?

"Hey, you haven't been giving Genos slack for his Hero."

"It can be my celebratory marking of a successful first step towards making it big." Does that sound better?

"Ah ah yeah you're right," he admits and he knocks back some more of his drink. "The ocean isn't a lady. I'm crazy... Crazy in love!" He adds with a loud laugh.

"Now if I could combine your fire idea with my idea to get something real deep I'd be set." He looks around the room. "Don't tell the others I'm considering this. I don't know if Kid would approve so I don't want him finding out until the deed has already been done."
