Who: Famous musicians, hopeful auditioners, and random onlookers.
What: Hit gameshow series “Fairy Trial” is celebrating one of its anniversaries, and it’s invited you onboard. For more deets, check out the OOC post!

Every letter that you wrote Has found its way to me, my dear.” ☆BETTER TO PRETEND For musicians in either Pride or Virgo, the job offer is delivered by their managers- a suggestion to accept an invitation from Sevetop to participate in a successful gameshow. (A message that is delivered perhaps a bit more pressingly to some, with the unsaid words of “This is a chance to make it up to us”.) For others, strangers just trying to make a living and wait for their chance to save their loved ones, the message is delivered over their communicators by Gold, with promises that infiltrating this event will aid you in liberating the captives from their label's control. Either way, all roads lead to Sevetop Entertainment. Sevetop might not have the weight that musical giants Pride Labels and Virgo Entertainment do, but that’s because it’s not into the musical industry. Sevetop is all about television and the big screen. For these purposes, it has its own little area of the city, a bustling kind of Hollywood filled with the more office-like buildings, auditoriums for additions, and even various sets. Whether you’re driven in style via limo, or brought to a regular line of buses, this is where you end up at. Musicians, of course, end up at the more posh meeting room. A spread of delicate little lunch sandwiches, veggie platters, cupcakes, and assorted beverages are on a table for anyone to snatch up, and regularly refilled. Every celebrity is handed a small folder with papers inside going over both the boring legal things and explaining the purpose of the show. “Royals” are the ones to be “saved”, but they don’t have to make the journey easier on their “Heroes” and are given tools at their disposal to help or hinder. Heroes have one goal to accomplish, ‘rescuing’ their Royal, but it changes depending on the challenge. Much to your surprise, some of those aspiring Heroes might just look familiar. Don't tell! ☆THE HEROES In another building, next door, various people picked off the street (some coincidentally, others not so much, thanks to Gold's glamour witchcraft) are being given very much the same kind of presentation… In a room much more cramped, with not nearly enough chairs, on a slideshow. The only refreshments available are small bags of chips (try not to take more than one) and coolers full of bottled water. After the separate presentations are done with, everyone is allowed to check out the sets for past seasons, which includes what look like giant mushroom tops that are made of very bouncy rubber, climbing walls made of fake vines, pumpkin shaped carriages (horses not included), and other such things. Of course, it’s not all play. While you’re messing about, you’ve all been given numbers. Once you’ve been called, you’re to stand in front of Fairy Trial’s hosts and commentators: siblings Bella and Maurice Hooks. Both of them are equally friendly, although her more outgoing to his easygoing, but they have plenty of questions for this little audition. Tell them about yourself: hobbies, job, your favorite fairy tale, what you think your best skill is - and then, the most important, you get to display a choice "talent" in front of the audience. It can be whatever you like, as long as it's crowd appropriate. Be careful, though, because the rock stars you're hoping to work with are watching, too. At the very least, don't make an ass out of yourself. Gold's enchantments are good, but there are some things that even magic can't charm its way through. After all this, you’ll get a chance to just rest and mingle while your rides come back to take you back to the mall or HQ you were picked up at. Obviously for certain famous names, they’ll probably be the first ones out, but who knows… Maybe there was a traffic delay, and now you have some time to spare waiting around here as well. Just take note that you’re not allowed to wander too far from the Fairy Trial sets. Security is keeping an eye on folks to make sure they don’t steal or wreck anything. And don’t worry, you’ll be told about the results within a week! They promise. “You can make believe that what you say Is what I want to hear. I'll keep dancing through this Beautiful delusional career.”

Stalking musicians

Vastra's patience finally paid off as the auditions come to a close. Doctor had been chatting with others throughout the entire event and he was among the musicians lagging behind in the end, still finishing up another conversation.

He turns his head at the sound of her water bottle hitting the floor and water splashes across one of his ankles and shoe. He laughs off the accident and waves it away with both hands. "Oh no, no. No harm done! I should return my socks and shoes if they can't handle a bit of moisture."

Got him.

It was hard not to notice the Doctor-- given the extremely unique way he tends to move and talk with people. And it seems he's maintained his generous nature, which should make her job just a little simpler once the time came.

"I should expect they wouldn't withstand an entire bottle though, oh gracious..." Vastra puts an hand to her cheek. "I'm so embarrassed-- my friends are going to tease me mercilessly when they hear I met you and... made such a bungle."

"Well I won't tell them if you won't," he laughs it off. "Besides, you have more exciting news. Passed the auditions didn't you? Congratulations!"

Vastra forces herself to laugh like a starstruck fan-- though it's very hard. It's strange looking the Doctor right in the face and getting... no recognition at all. This man had saved her life, taught her a better way to be, and it all appears to have gone somewhere else.

All the more reason to giggle like a flustered schoolgirl. For his sake. For the Doctor.

"Thank you, Doctor. I was so nervous, but it's a very exciting opportunity to meet so many famous people, and Flowers Over Bones... Is that too honest of me to say?"

"Not at all," he assures her. "You're actually very calm compared to a lot of other fans I've met before. As I understand it's not that easy." He takes a look around the room. "Were there any others you were hoping to meet. If they're from my band I can introduce you. You can get autographs and everything if you like."

Good gracious, has the Doctor been halfway assaulted by these various fans? If her silly giggling is 'calm', she'd hate to see what he considered 'mildly uncomfortable' these days. Of course, Vastra is used to a restrained, Victorian kind of expression, so anything past giggling is just obscene.

"Oh, well, while I find Miss Rei very graceful and talented, and Miss Luce's skill quite formidable, I'm mostly a fan of the eclectic methods you use to write your music. I imagine some people might find it eccentric, however I think too few people are willing to give a potentially scary thing a chance..."

"Oh, well thank you," he replies and tips his head to her. "When you've taken risks composing as many times as I have you start to forget that it was a risk to begin with. Once you get over that initial 'bump' it's much easier. I was fortunate that my band was willing to take the leap with me. What great event or thing has ever come about without some risk taking though?"

He nods his head back and forth. "Intelligence and timing help the chances but overall a little leap of faith."

"Yes, yes exactly. Taking a risk, and then just running with it gets simpler and simpler.

"If you, for example, were being pressured into creating one type of music, but you couldn't reconcile that with your own conscience, taking a risk and running off on your own would be quite scary, don't you think? I suppose it would be a little less frightening if you had a companion, though..."

What an interesting example to consider. With their success it's unlikely Doctor or his band will be forced to change their music genre or likewise banned from trying new ones. Doctor can however, imagine wishing to give everything up and leave. He knows the truth about Virgo, not all the details, but enough.

"As long as I can see the value in the risk I'll take the plunge, preferably with companions, yes." He doesn't call his band 'companions' but it's a really nice word now that he thinks about it. "Now if only the label and my manager would allow me to hurdle towards those new experiences. It's a little difficult to take risks when you have a body guard following you."
