“Like the legend of the Phoenix, All ends with beginnings, What keeps the planets spinning, The force from the beginning.” ☆COME TOO FAR On November 6th, the sudden lockdown of Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment finally ends. But not before some unseen actions have their consequences.![]() Due to the nature of the conflict, none of you can be there to see it, but that doesn't mean it can't be felt. In the morning of the 6th, something cries out to you spiritually - like the voice of a guardian angel, or a haunting ghost. Something, somewhere, is calling on you for aid. Pleading for you to lend it your power. Whether or not you consciously agree, you'll feel a connection stronger than anything you've felt up till this point, like whatever this creature is is somehow in the room with you, or maybe like you're with it. What happens next depends on your alignment. ► LOVE & HOPE: All at once, characters with these alignments will feel as if they have taken a deep, spiritual blow - much like having someone clasp their hand around your "soul" and attempt to snuff it out. The attack itself will be brutal but brief. It's the after effects that linger, which may be any of the following: 1) Lingering spiritual pain that triggers symptoms akin to a fever in the body. It may also trigger effects such as nosebleeds and other signs of intense stress. 2) Forgetting everything except the memories you've regained. 3) A feeling of being desperately alone. How your character reacts to this feeling can vary, but the most common response will be seeking comfort from anyone nearby, even if you are not usually the sort of person to do that. These effects will last from anywhere as short at 15 minutes to as long as 5 hours. You can pick more than one of these effects for a character, but try to balance the potency of each if you take more than one, so you aren't completely kicking the shit out of them. Vestiges of these effects can linger throughout the rest of the day, but in a significantly reduced capacity. ► DUTY & PASSION: All at once, characters with these alignments will feel an intense sense of fear and grief, as if they have lost something extremely precious to them. Generally speaking, this will manifest as a sort of panic or desperation to save whatever that thing is - but not being entirely clear on where they have to go or what they have to do to accomplish it. This can very well trigger some brash and irrational actions as they sort out this abrupt feeling of urgency. 1) Soon after the feeling begins, affected characters will feel empathically drawn to the characters suffering from the effects listed for Hope & Love, even if they are not normally the sort to be so concerned for others. This can go as far as having them be aggressively protective to the point that they will conflict with each other over it. 2) Along with that feeling of being drawn to protect them, all characters will feel an intensified kinship with all the other player characters - from both labels. This feeling of kinship won't cause them to know anything more about each other than they did before, but it will cause them to feel like much closer friends than they actually are. These effects will last from anywhere as short at 15 minutes to as long as 5 hours. After that period has ended, all these empathetic effects will fade off on their own. Any network posts made in the chaos will be deleted by the execs after the 5 hours period has closed, if not sooner. By the end of the day, Lesedi Santiago and Edward Blanche will announce their return, and bans from leaving HQ will be lifted. They will not acknowledge the events of the morning unless someone goes to ask them about it. “We've come too far to give up who we are. So, let's raise the bar and our cups to the stars.” |
Trucy Wright | Pride Records | Pride HQ
[Trucy had been alone in her room, fiddling idly with with a deck of cards when the sudden and unexpected attack crashed through her soul. The suffocating loneliness came first, and drove her out into the penthouse to find someone, anyone, to talk to. She has bad timing though, and the rest of System Crash is nowhere to be found. Which is why she left for the common areas. She'll be making a beeline for the first person she sees. Good luck getting rid of her.]
H-hey, what are you up to?
[She's trying to sound casual, really she is. But... she just desperately needs someone to talk to right now. Doesn't even matter who.]
B-
[Or maybe you find her later, when the second symptom has hit. She was fine a moment ago, but now everything is too hot and her head hurts and her vision is swimming. Trucy sways and leans against the nearest wall to steady herself. She hasn't even noticed the nosebleed...]
Ugh....
via private twitter message like we talked on plurk
Better to try and figure out why he feels like he does.

A
[As she walks up to him, his eyebrows raise. He hadn't seen her since the night they'd been kidnapped, and even he can't really say he "saw" her, except when they woke up in those cages. Just sharing a terrifying moment with her and an unforgettable experience that he wishes he could forget. He's inclined to stay with her right now, however, still shaken from whatever had attacked him that morning. But he'll try not to show it, for now.]
You...doing okay?
A
[No, she really isn't. But she's doing her best to smile and look like everything is normal and she's not just desperate for company.]
Kind of a crazy day though. Um, how about you?
no subject
I've just had a lot to think about lately, that's all. [He's a liar.]
no subject
Yeah, I know how that feels. Um, hey, do you wanna hang out for a while? Like, go get a coffee or something?
[Trying soo hard to sound casual. She just... really doesn't want to be alone.]
no subject
[He nods, to join her at her side. There's a lot on his mind, and he's unsure if he should share it with her after the conversation he had with Koumei, but...]
There's this cool place I found that's sorta a hole in the wall kinda shop. They sell oreo espresso shakes. Pretty wild, huh?
no subject
[The enthusiasm is a little forced, but oreo espresso shakes are definitely something she can get behind.]
It seems like the little out of the way places always have the best stuff, you know?
no subject
It's a little pricey, but it's totally worth it in the end. Problem is, even though it's a small shop, since it's so close to the Pride building the paparazzi and fans have found it and sometimes you can't get out without signing an autograph or fifty...
[Not that he minds that much, but he will sure as hell complain about it.]

[Trucy actually really enjoys the social aspects of being famous, so getting recognized is always exciting.]
I bet it's tougher on you though. Flashstep is pretty hot right now.
[And the squealing fangirls that hover around boy bands are probably a little worse than the crowd she usually attracts.]

did you want to use this thread to have them "menaced" by fans haha
Sure. Although these two seem more 'annoying' than 'menacing.'
hahaha and possibly creepy too

B
She's spotted her, after worrying she wasn't at the penthouse when she checks. She approaches as calmly as she can until she sees blood.]
Trucy?!
B
K-kido? I don't... feel good...
[Understatement. She reaches a shaky hand up to wipe at the blood dribbling out of her nose.]
no subject
You should rest for a minute. Sit down. [Before you tip. Jesus.]
no subject
[She tries to laugh weakly, but it comes out more like a sob. She's grateful for the tissues though, and uses them to stem the flow of blood. She leans against Kido for support but the almost immediately tries to pull back.]
Oh... I got...
[Trucy is looking down at Kido's shirt, where there's a smudge of blood on her shoulder now.]
Sorry...

I feel... really awful...
[She's aware on some level that she's being both redundant and obvious. But thinking is tough right now.]
Can we.... um, can you help me get back? To the penthouse?
no subject
Yeah. [A beat.] Want to wait until you can walk, or should I carry you? [She already did it with Tiger.]
no subject
[She means the dizziness and fever.]
Are you... okay?
[Trucy's seen a number of sick people today.]
