☆THE FESTIVAL Welcome to the South Vista Music Fest! An enormous, weeklong festival with hundreds of bands performing nearly 24/7, the Music Fest is a quarter annual event that celebrates all manners of local talent, both big time and small time. Every band from Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment will have performances to do, including the freshly recruited – you better have your act together, because now is your time to shine! Player bands will be performing roughly once a day, with bands from the first app round predominantly with evening slots and the newest bands with predominantly afternoon slots. There is definitely a hierarchy to the scheduling - Pride and Virgo claim almost all of the prime performance times, while other labels are forced to deal with the leftovers. You've definitely been chosen by the winners of the music industry in these parts, that's for sure. Shuttles will be available to take people back to their relative HQs in their downtime, but they're also allowed to hang out and enjoy the festivities if that's what they prefer. Stuff is happening all day and night, so it's really just a question of how much you can party while still being conscious for your own show. Your managers will tell you that the company CEOs pay extra close attention to this event, so that you need to be on your best behaviour. The festival takes up a massive amount of floor area with multiple stages of various sizes and a large amount of glowy display screens. It's set up on the ground floor of the cityscape, meaning that the suspension roads and walkways above have been programmed to add to the ambient lighting all day and night. ► TRAILER PARK KIDS: For those that just want to chill, there is a massive VIP area reserved for labels to park various trailers for their musicians to hang out in during downtime - one for each band. They aren't quite as big as the tour buses, but they are comfortable and well stocked. Each is equipped with two beds and a bathroom/shower. Pretty much every local band you know of is here, including the notorious Predator. Nose around their trailer at your own risk. ► IN THE SPOTLIGHT: With at least six performances in a span of six days, there is plenty of time for shenanigans to go down both back and center stage. Time to show your mettle, and to hope that some asshole doesn't take all the best food items from the backstage catering tables before you can get to them. ► ATMOSPHERIC NOISE: If you dare brave the storm, there is a massive quantity of merch, vendor, and food booths available for your perusal. Many fans endeavor to spend as much time at Music Fest as possible, and so the space is very lived in, with large groups of people hanging out in well populated lounge areas. Depending on how popular you are, it may be difficult to get around without getting swarmed by your fans. ► DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER: And all the while, the strange memories continue. The label's newest members will have started to feel strange as of November 6th, and by the time of the Fest almost all of them will be discovering their first memories regains. The first one should be based on the alignment you chose, but the rest can be whatever you want. New character may regain up to 4 memories between their arrival and the end of November.

"Oh, are you relaxed now? You were so intent earlier, after all."

The speaker is someone Mai might have seen on magazines or in other media- Luce is one of the two leads for Flower Over Bones, after all, and so it's hard to avoid being considered one of the faces for her band. They're a classical leaning group as well.

Despite the fact that Mai is from Pride, that doesn't seem to be diminishing the smile on Luce's face much.

That's one familiar face alright. Now Mai wasn't much for keeping up with the other bands really. At best she knew basic names and that was about it. At worst she knew some approximation of a name and claimed it 'good enough' because she's here for the music, not to study the images or successes of the other groups.

Luce was kind of a face one couldn't escape though, at least from a magazine perspective. And she was also from Virgo Entertainment too. If Mai had learned one thing thus far it was that Pride and Virgo weren't the best of friends to say the least.

The other woman speaks of intent and a frown rises up on Mai's lips. "Yeah? Fans kind of do that to you." She always did have the harshest or iciest of looks when trying to burrow through the crowds.

Unfortunately for Mai... Luce doesn't seem bothered by the frown on her face at all. It's that horrible "people person" part of her. It takes a lot to bother her.

So she just smiles back. "It's a jungle out there, that can't be denied. Are you still going out there then again, or just going to linger back here?"

[maipokerface]

"I'm staying back here until they force me back out. Wrestling that crowd on way through is enough for me." It's said with some determination as she crosses her arms and leans back against the trailer itself. Out of the way of the door though, thankfully.

"It's certainly a trial..." Luce has experienced both as herself and concealing her identity. All the same, for a people person like her, she's still managed to have fun.

"Did you plan on stopping by the food table? I'm afraid it's a bit of a mess right now, unfortunately." It's what happens when you get a bunch of bands- some of highly questionable character- all together in the same space.

At that Mai has to sigh out. "Figures. You think it'll be less of a mess if I wait it out a bit?" She doubted so but it was worth a try.

"Depending on how long the staff can get to it and if someone from one of the rowdier hasn't started a fight that needs intervening yet." Aaah, rockstar life.

"I would suggest a stall, but out of the question?"

[maipokerface]

"I don't mind a stall." Sure she's a rich girl and all but she's not exactly above eating from a stall.

[giglio_madonna]

"Well then, if you don't mind having to deal with the mobs again, I know a few spots that are delicious." A pause, and Luce chuckles. "And I suppose you'd have to not mind fraternizing with the enemy, too."

[maipokerface]

At that Mai just waves a hand dismissively. "Who gives a damn. I'm here to play, not to fight some imaginary label war."

[giglio_madonna]

"Oh, lovely. You'll get a long with some people, then." Luce nods backs towards the exit that leads out into the festival. "Feeling anything in particular?"

[maipokerface]

"... Something spicy." She has been ever since her impromptu popcorn snack earlier anyhow.

[giglio_madonna]

"Oh, I think I saw an Indian food stall when I was wandering the other day..." Luce tilts her head to the side. "Does that sound good enough?"

[maipokerface]

Mai lights up a little at that. As much as Mai can light up anyhow. "That's more than alright actually."

[giglio_madonna]

As she guides her along, Luce glances to her out of the corner of her eyes. "Oh, a fan of it, then?"

[maipokerface]

"I'm pretty fond of anything spicy to be honest. Indian does that pretty well without being too overbearing about it."

[giglio_madonna]

"Well, I'll have to keep that in mind just in case we ever run into one another again." That sure is a crowd around outside... But fortunately, it seems like a pretty popular band is up, so it's not as bad as it could be. Luce turns back to wink to Mai.

"Let's hurry before the set finishes."

[maipokerface]

"Thank god for the popular bands," Mai replies with a little amused snort. She casts a brief glance in the direction most of the crowd is filtering towards but otherwise doesn't seem to care much about the band itself.

With the reduced crowd, ordering is much easier. A few people are lingering long enough for food it seems but by the time the pair make it to the cart even those fans are dispersing. Then it's as simple as placing orders and waiting to pick them up

Being famous is certainly a way to ensure that you learn to appreciate the small things in life. In this instance, it's not being hassled while ordering food and it not taking forever and a half. Happily taking the samosas she ordered, Luce nods to Mai.

"So, how are you taking everything?"

[maipokerface]

Mai is gingerly unwrapping one of the haitian patties she ordered, the food still quite warm as she answers.

"Besides the mobs of fans? It's pretty fun. Music wise anyhow."

[giglio_madonna]

"That's good. I can't say everyone enters the business for the music, but, if you have to do something, may as well be something you love, right?"

That's how she feels, anyway. She doesn't really want to think about Doctor and Lian's argument too much.

"And your band?"

[maipokerface]

After a moment of contemplation, Mai concludes, "They're alright. Aramat has a decent head on her shoulders even if Artolo is crazy. Wolfram just preens a lot frankly. Tooru... I'm not too sure about him."

Her brows raise a little, "You know any of them?"

[giglio_madonna]

"Sorry, afraid not." Luce gives an apologetic shrug. A lot of the new bands aren't anyone she recognizes, but she's not necessarily bothered by it. The world is such a large place, after all, and even she can't keep up with everything.

"At least it sounds like you can count on Aramat. Perhaps the others feel the same way."

[maipokerface]

"I wonder." She pauses to take a bite, contemplating as she eats. "I guess? Hell if I know what Tooru or Artolo are thinking ever."

[giglio_madonna]

"Ah, the mysterious ones in the group, even if they're annoying." Luce nods, nibbling at her own food. "Try not to get too upset at them. In a business like ours, you might get stuck with them for a long time after all."
