☆THE FESTIVAL Welcome to the South Vista Music Fest! An enormous, weeklong festival with hundreds of bands performing nearly 24/7, the Music Fest is a quarter annual event that celebrates all manners of local talent, both big time and small time. Every band from Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment will have performances to do, including the freshly recruited – you better have your act together, because now is your time to shine! Player bands will be performing roughly once a day, with bands from the first app round predominantly with evening slots and the newest bands with predominantly afternoon slots. There is definitely a hierarchy to the scheduling - Pride and Virgo claim almost all of the prime performance times, while other labels are forced to deal with the leftovers. You've definitely been chosen by the winners of the music industry in these parts, that's for sure. Shuttles will be available to take people back to their relative HQs in their downtime, but they're also allowed to hang out and enjoy the festivities if that's what they prefer. Stuff is happening all day and night, so it's really just a question of how much you can party while still being conscious for your own show. Your managers will tell you that the company CEOs pay extra close attention to this event, so that you need to be on your best behaviour. The festival takes up a massive amount of floor area with multiple stages of various sizes and a large amount of glowy display screens. It's set up on the ground floor of the cityscape, meaning that the suspension roads and walkways above have been programmed to add to the ambient lighting all day and night. ► TRAILER PARK KIDS: For those that just want to chill, there is a massive VIP area reserved for labels to park various trailers for their musicians to hang out in during downtime - one for each band. They aren't quite as big as the tour buses, but they are comfortable and well stocked. Each is equipped with two beds and a bathroom/shower. Pretty much every local band you know of is here, including the notorious Predator. Nose around their trailer at your own risk. ► IN THE SPOTLIGHT: With at least six performances in a span of six days, there is plenty of time for shenanigans to go down both back and center stage. Time to show your mettle, and to hope that some asshole doesn't take all the best food items from the backstage catering tables before you can get to them. ► ATMOSPHERIC NOISE: If you dare brave the storm, there is a massive quantity of merch, vendor, and food booths available for your perusal. Many fans endeavor to spend as much time at Music Fest as possible, and so the space is very lived in, with large groups of people hanging out in well populated lounge areas. Depending on how popular you are, it may be difficult to get around without getting swarmed by your fans. ► DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER: And all the while, the strange memories continue. The label's newest members will have started to feel strange as of November 6th, and by the time of the Fest almost all of them will be discovering their first memories regains. The first one should be based on the alignment you chose, but the rest can be whatever you want. New character may regain up to 4 memories between their arrival and the end of November.

Bolin | Vandalism In Progress - Lead Vocals | Virgo

[ The excitement of performing at the festival has Bolin restless. He wants to be up on stage already even though there's hours to go until Vandalism in Progress is slated to go on. Plus the inside of the trailer, even though it's luxurious feels a little too cramped to just wait inside all day. Especially with all the exciting things going on around them. Even when he steps outside their trailer area Bolin is still not able to stand still for too long. He can't sit for too long and eventually just pulls a pair of headphones on so he can practice his dance moves in time to ViP's lyrics, humming along to the lyrics under his breath to make sure he has it down.

The rest of the time he'll be exploring around the other trailers to see what's up. He's not at all shy about saying hello to anyone else out and about. ]

[ Both before and after Vandalism in Progress's performance he's energized by the excitement of it all. He's happiest in the moment when he can see the crowd dancing and obviously feeling the music and responding to the band's dedication. In the aftermath of the show he usually ends up pulling off the heavier parts of his costume and stretching out so he can cool down easier.

And then he makes a beeline for the snack table. Performing is hard work after all! ]

[ For when he goes out among the crowd to grab food and watch some performances, Bolin has something special going on. He trades out his usual outfits for a plain blazer. Anytime a fan stops him for an autograph he pulls out a selection of colorful markers and asks for one right back, slowly filling up the blank space with a little touch of vandalism. It's a small touch but the evolution of the coat is well documented through pictures on social media as he poses with fans as well.

His favorite area to haunt by far is the food cart area. Sure there are complimentary snacks backstage and in the trailers for performers but that stuff is boring. He can be found around in various spots trying out some strange food combo or a ridiculous handheld dessert. He's a growing boy, he needs to eat. Or at least that's his defense. ]

[ It's later in the evening, Bolin is winding down and trying to just chill instead of putting himself in the limelight yet again. He's leaned back against the wall with a drink. He's just absorbing the voices around him, maybe keeping an ear out for some gossip when-

Ice and rocks fly everywhere and distantly he's aware that the rocks are him, he's the one throwing them with hardly any effort at all. He's back to back with someone, scared of what's to come.

"I don't think we can win this fight!"

"We don't need to win, we just need to keep Unalaq from getting back into the spirit world."

The fighting starts again and he's on edge, trying to anticipate where the attacks will come from next. When it all goes suspiciously silent he peers out from behind his shelter and sees a face.

"Hello my feeble turtleduck."

He suddenly jolts out of the strange vision with a yelp, nearly jumping out of his skin. ]

Gah! Don't sneak up on a guy like that!

[Chris looks almost as startled as Bolin, having just stopped to reply to a text when the guy started shouting. He looks around to see if he's missing something here, but. Nope. Dude's just yelling at him for standing there.]

The fuck? [What is happening.] You havin' a rough trip or something?

[ Crap, way to make an impression. Bolin tries to calm his pounding heart, brush off what he thought he'd saw. Too much excitement probably. Or too much fried food from the food carts. Maybe both.

He rubs his face, forcing an apologetic grin at Chris to try and do damage control. ]

Sorry, dude. I think I've been awake too long, started zoning out.

[He still has his eyebrows raised, and he's looking around to see if... He doesn't know. But Bolin probably isn't totally off his rocker here.]

Maybe you should lie down or something?

who knows where Shen came from, or how he set up his portable synth to work without you noticing. the fact is that he's picked up on the song, and is providing some accompaniment for the practice.

that's one thing in his favor; he's almost always willing to go over their music, even if he's not always willing to be as outgoing as the rest of the crowd.]

[ When it comes to Shen sneaking up on you, Bolin has actually gotten pretty used to it. He doesn't jump nearly as much as he used to. But when he hears familiar playing that isn't quite in sync with the music on his headphones.

He finishes off the last of his routine with a flourish, dipping an invisible partner for fun. ]

How do you move that thing around so fast? Wasn't it still in its case five minutes ago?

Yeah.

[and? the tone questions, casual and nonchalant. it could have still been in its case as of a minute ago; Shen's quite skilled at getting himself set up in seconds. the synth may be a bit bigger than a camera, but he's far more experienced with it - and he doesn't exactly need to line up the shot.

either way, he makes a few tweaks on the controls, repeating the rhythm. if...softer.]

[ Ivan is trying to stay in the less crowded areas and avoid bumping into people, but it appears that he still lacks to appear enough. He takes a quick sip of his coffee to give Bolin time to recover from the startle. ]

Still, I'm sorry.

[ Sorry Ivan, that one wasn't entire on you. Not that he's going to apologize since you already admitted defeat by saying it first. ]

Totally forgiven, buddy. You gotta be more careful!

[ When it comes to being bumped into, Ivan assumes that he's at fault. That's how it usually is. Why should he believe anything different? ]

I'm beginning to think I need arrows pointing to me with how everyone overlooks me.

[ Putting it like that, is it any wonder Ivan isn't a lead in his band? They'd never get any publicity or notice. How did he even get that short photoshoot? Miss Angel must have set something up without him knowing. ]

How are you holding up? This is one of ViP's first big gigs, right?

[Besides Luce's voice, Bolin might here some delighted gushing surrounding her- Flowers Over Bones has been pretty popular lately due to a few reasons. Their performances during the Fest have helped, certainly.]

[Luce tilts her head with a smile.]

[ Even if he hadn't heard the fans around Luce talking he would have know who she was. He'd caught one of the Flowers Over Bones performances during his free time and it had been brilliant.

Bolin grins at her. ]

Sure! I'd be honored but- [ He pulls out his phone. ] Only if I can get a picture with you.

Well, I can never refuse a request like that.

[Chuckling, she comes closer.]

Should I pose with one of the markers? Orange, if you have one.

[His arrival in his wanderings might be timely -- Meril has her neck craned around to peer down over her left shoulder as she struggles to fasten the bottommost of several hooks on the back of her dress. Taking cues from corsets, the hook has almost no play in it in the slightest, the better to make sure her figure leaves nothing to the imagination. Haul though she might with her fairly substantial strength, the angle she's working at makes this a struggle at best.]

The real question is how this came undone in the first place...

[Muttering to herself, she exhales and takes another shot at it. She hasn't noticed Bolin, but she clearly could benefit from some help...]

[ This... seems like a dangerous situation. Bolin slows his roll as he notices she's having trouble and then looks around in case anyone is going to accuse him of ogling her. He wasn't. Well, not entirely ogling but there was a little involved.

He coughs, probably louder than necessary so he doesn't startle her. ]

Uh. Do you... need help with that?

Hm? [She glances up, then exhales as she ceases her struggle for a moment. From the back, the corset is a fairly modest outfit -- revealing little except through shape, so she considers herself to be decent enough at the moment.] It pains me to admit it, but I do need help.

[ The entire day had been a whirlwind of activity, and Kanami scarcely had a moment to relax this evening, between finishing up their set, reconvening for dinner and band debrief, signing autographs and the like. Flitting through the crowd in normal clothes, signing autographs for people who managed to recognize her outside of her wig and ridiculous performance wear (it was becoming increasingly more common, she might have to adjust her incognito look), she spotted a familiar someone, a smile spreading across her lips.

He was so enthralled by everything around him. It was a bit cute. Wandering over, she aimed to surprise him, Kanami got close, then was immediately shouted at. She jumped back quickly. ]

Wahh!

[ Wow, okay, that was extremely unladylike. Recovering quick, she still looked a bit startled--and a little offended, let's be real here--putting a hand on her hip with a bit of a pout ]

Wow, what was that for?

Sorry! [ Bolin looks around like he half expects the girl he saw to pop up out of nowhere again. But there's nothing around except other stars and he sighs. ]

I just thought I saw this terrifying chick, a total harpy.

[ A pause. ]

...I think I broke up with her once.

[ Wait. That was probably something he shouldn't be saying his his ex. ]

It's okay she's probably used to it by now.

[ Really, Bolin? Really? You were going to do this right now? She was in such a good mood and everything. She was even going to tell you how well you did, not because she wanted another chance, but because she's the better person, obviously. But you just had to screw that up, didn't you?

Met with frigid silence, he isn't afforded the sweet girl act as she gives him a steely, disapproving glare. ]

Wow, okay. If that's how you're going to be. I was going to come over and congratulate you on a good set, but you had to bring up the past didn't you? That is just so like you.

[As soon as she catches sight of whatever Bolin is eating, Pao-Lin shamelessly asks him:]

Ooh, what's that? [And where can she get some?

She's currently dressed in this, but if Bolin caught the Flowers Over Bones performance he might recognize her from the flowery stunt they pulled at the end of their set, to say nothing of the skeleton-themed dress she'd worn then.]

This? The stand said it was chocolate covered cheesecake. [ He takes a bite of his absolutely ridiculous dessert before adding. ] On a stick.

[ It takes him a second to recognize her but then he grins. He'd caught FoB's concert, had even managed to snag one of the paper flowers from their percussion cannons. It got him thinking about what ViP could do to make their performances interactive in the same way. ]

[ Even without being able to see her face Bolin likes to think he's gotten pretty at good at reading Celty. Sometimes. Sort of. ]

My bad, Celty, I kind of zoned out there. Probably too much junk food or something.
