☆THE FESTIVAL

Welcome to the South Vista Music Fest! An enormous, weeklong festival with hundreds of bands performing nearly 24/7, the Music Fest is a quarter annual event that celebrates all manners of local talent, both big time and small time. Every band from Pride Records and Virgo Entertainment will have performances to do, including the freshly recruited – you better have your act together, because now is your time to shine!

Player bands will be performing roughly once a day, with bands from the first app round predominantly with evening slots and the newest bands with predominantly afternoon slots. There is definitely a hierarchy to the scheduling - Pride and Virgo claim almost all of the prime performance times, while other labels are forced to deal with the leftovers. You've definitely been chosen by the winners of the music industry in these parts, that's for sure.

Shuttles will be available to take people back to their relative HQs in their downtime, but they're also allowed to hang out and enjoy the festivities if that's what they prefer. Stuff is happening all day and night, so it's really just a question of how much you can party while still being conscious for your own show. Your managers will tell you that the company CEOs pay extra close attention to this event, so that you need to be on your best behaviour.

The festival takes up a massive amount of floor area with multiple stages of various sizes and a large amount of glowy display screens. It's set up on the ground floor of the cityscape, meaning that the suspension roads and walkways above have been programmed to add to the ambient lighting all day and night.

► TRAILER PARK KIDS: For those that just want to chill, there is a massive VIP area reserved for labels to park various trailers for their musicians to hang out in during downtime - one for each band. They aren't quite as big as the tour buses, but they are comfortable and well stocked. Each is equipped with two beds and a bathroom/shower. Pretty much every local band you know of is here, including the notorious Predator. Nose around their trailer at your own risk.

► IN THE SPOTLIGHT: With at least six performances in a span of six days, there is plenty of time for shenanigans to go down both back and center stage. Time to show your mettle, and to hope that some asshole doesn't take all the best food items from the backstage catering tables before you can get to them.

► ATMOSPHERIC NOISE: If you dare brave the storm, there is a massive quantity of merch, vendor, and food booths available for your perusal. Many fans endeavor to spend as much time at Music Fest as possible, and so the space is very lived in, with large groups of people hanging out in well populated lounge areas. Depending on how popular you are, it may be difficult to get around without getting swarmed by your fans.

► DON'T FORGET TO REMEMBER: And all the while, the strange memories continue. The label's newest members will have started to feel strange as of November 6th, and by the time of the Fest almost all of them will be discovering their first memories regains. The first one should be based on the alignment you chose, but the rest can be whatever you want. New character may regain up to 4 memories between their arrival and the end of November.

A: MINGLING

[More than happy to be among crowds of people, especially musicians: his people, Sora can be caught saying hi to pretty much everyone, Pride or Virgo. Especially if he's already met the person once before, he will greet them like old friends. It's clear that despite the weirdness that had been happening this month, he's pretty much back to being happy and carefree. Or, again, it could be the fact that this festival has just got him really pumped.]

B: SPOTLIGHT

[This energy that Sora's carrying again is also maximized when he's on stage. He performs moves perfectly, hits all the high notes he's meant to as the boy band's soprano. He treats his band mates with the utmost affection, surely to the delight of many fangirls out in the crowd, though he seems to be paying special attention to the most emotionally volatile member of their group: Jamie... Likely because he's the most emotionally volatile so Sora feels protective. But each of them holds a special place in his heart, and this is more obvious then ever as he performs with them.

Even after right after a performance, he's more affectionate than usual, and will be practically hanging off any of his friends that he finds backstage. There may even be surprise glomps, because he's that chipper right now.]

C: NOISE

[If he'd managed to keep it hidden before now, it's certainly not going to be a secret anymore that Sora's a big fan of all of his friends' bands. He can be found at any of their merchandise tables, genuinely hyped as he peruses all the merchandise. He gravitates toward the food stalls just as often, and can also be caught signing autographs with the biggest grin on his face ever. He may not have as many fans as Maxxie or Jamie apparently do, but this doesn't bother him in the slightest. Even having one fan makes him incredibly happy, and he willingly poses for pictures with some of them too.]

D: REMEMBER

[It's when he's by some food vendors and has just gotten a paper plate piled full of nachos that it happens. It's the third time, and at this point he's starting to recognize what it is as the wave of feeling, vision, and noise washes over him:

The red-haired girl he's seen twice now is laying on the floor. He runs to her. There's a name this time, he says it. "Kairi."

He lifts her gently from the ground, so she's sitting up. But her body is limp, she's not moving. "Kairi! Kairi! Open your eyes!"

"It's no use. That girl has lost her heart. She cannot wake up." The silver-haired boy, from the first time he'd experienced this. He sounds different, looks different. He's different, somehow.

Sora lays Kairi back down, stands. "What? You..."]

You're not Riku. [It leaves his mouth as the vision fades, and he's left with that weird feeling like he's lost again, out of place. But there's also a sense of hope as his mind latches onto these names he's been given, along with a deep worry because of what he'd heard and seen. Where was the rest of it? What happened next?

...Also he just dropped his nachos onto the grass.] --Oh. [To onlookers, this could appear to be the reason for his sudden surprise. Unless they'd heard him speak, in the noisy crowd.]

[Did someone spike something around the trailers or something? That's the only reason Artolo can think of that people lately are acting so goddamn weird.]

[Himself included, frankly.]

[He was the asshole right behind Sora in the nacho line, a newbie drummer that no one pays much attention to, and he's still close by when the kid has his... episode, or whatever.]

[Artolo asks the question he's been asking a lot this week-]

Have you been taking drugs or something?

[Because he just sacrificed his nachos for speaking to air.]

[Surprised that someone noticed what had happened, even though he shouldn't be, he turns to look at Artolo with slightly wide eyes.]

What? No! I mean, I don't think so? Not on purpose. [Confusion. Honestly the "something's in the water" theory is one that's crossed Sora's mind once or twice too since this type of thing has been happening.]

Maybe I was falling asleep, I do that sometimes. [This has been the explanation for the "dreams" that he's been sticking to the most.

He looks down at the ground now.] ...do you think those nachos are still safe? [He's joking. Mostly. He's a teenage boy he might still be willing to eat them rather than get back in that line.]

People don't fall talk while they're falling asleep.

[At least, he's pretty sure most people don't. Then again, maybe this kid is just an extra sort of weirdo. You never know. There's not a lot of time to think on it. The kid is asking him that question and...]

[Normally, he'd dare him to do it. Just for laughs. But there's still that weird memory on the back of his mind, and his first instinct instead is to offer to share of all things. What the hell, frankly. He's really not even a halfway decent person, so where is this coming from?]

[The two conflicting ideas end up compromising with him taking one of his own cheese laden nachos and just reaching over to stick it against Sora's face.]

Here, you passed the ten second rule anyway.

[Psii, it's not ten seconds...]

[Initially, Sora is very surprised by the sudden slap of wet cheesy nacho to his cheek. He sort of just blinks at Artolo for a second, before looking thoughtful and taking the sticky chip from his face to eat it instead. Because why not.

After he's finished, he grins at the guy and gives him two thumbs up. There's still cheese on his cheek. He doesn't seem to mind.]

Thanks! At least I got to try 'em, now, right? But...

[A slight tilt to his head, arms crossing over his chest in thought. ]

I thought it was supposed to be five seconds?

[There are actually people this chill in the world. Frankly, he's sort of amazed.]

What's the difference?

Uh... [Pause for thought.] Five seconds?

[Technically true! And now he's grinning expectantly, like he just told a really great joke. I'm so sorry Artolo, he's such a dork.]

[Well, at least it makes him snort, although that doesn't stop Artolo from thwacking the kid upside the head.]

If it's been on the floor for five seconds already, who cares if another five go by?

Ow! Hey... [Well, that felt familiar.]

Well, because... more... germs might get on it? [Sora this is not how germs work. At least he has the decency to look unsure about it, though.]
