System Crash penthouse mingle.
Who: The members of System Crash
What: Hanging out, discussing new projects, the latest gossip, and whatever else.
When: The day after the awards ceremony
Where: The band's assigned penthouse in the Pride records building.
Warnings:They're perky and largely annoying? None.
[That party had been all kinds of interesting and exciting and honestly a little weird. But regardless, Trucy is all kinds of pumped up to get going on her band's next project. Right after delicious gourmet breakfast of course. Having private chefs is seriously the best thing ever. But after that she'll be poking around the penthouse for her bandmates.
Hey guys! Band meeting! We've got awards to win! Let's get this show on the road!
[Not that Trucy has any authority here. Feel free to ignore her though in favor of movies, video games, sleep, or whatever. There's a lot of cool stuff in these penthouses after all..]

LATER IN THE DAY...
There are lyrics somewhere on the tip of his tongue, and a melody in his thoughts, like a whole song is waiting to pour itself out if he can just find the tap. But he can’t. It’s leaving him feeling pretty raw, too, because after the night before he feels like he desperate needs an outlet that isn’t just throwing a major league fit.
Though that ends up having to do in a pinch, because his angsty song writing section mostly just devolves into his laying on his face and pressing the same key on his small keyboard over and over again like he’s hoping that will make a song happen. Or maybe he’s just trying to make everyone else as annoyed as he is. It’s not always super clear, with him.
But why would he be doing it in the common room unless he was looking for some kind of attention?
Re: LATER IN THE DAY...
[She asks as if it isn't obvious.]
Want some help?
no subject
No.
no subject
Can I help anyway? Please?
[Because clearly he doesn't need help. Yeah, she's humoring little brother.]
no subject
I guess, but it's probably not really your thing. Right now it's just called...Ode to Jerks Who Think They Can Touch My Hair.
[It's sort of specific in its focus.]
no subject
[And really way to specific for a song.]
Maybe you should broaden the focus a little? You could call it 'Ode to Jerks.' Then you can just write a whole bunch of stuff about people who annoy you.
no subject
[He thinks about that for a long moment, and then...he nods as if it's a sage idea indeed.]
I think you're onto something with that. Why leave out the other guys that have it coming?
no subject
See? It'll give you that much more material to work with. You'll have a song in no time!
[Being tactful and mature is obviously not a consideration here.]
Oh, but speaking of songs, Pinkie and I were talking and we have an idea for the next album. What do you think of 'colors?'
no subject
...Don't we already have colours?
[He squints.]
no subject
[Trucy is obviously really into this idea. She's bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet as she explains.]
no subject
[He thinks about that for a few moments. The idea is really appealing. More than he's going to immediately let on, but anything with rainbows is A+ to him.]
Yeah, alright! I can swing that.

What even is an 'angry' colour? ...Red? Is black angry or depressed?

Now, though, she approaches with a lollipop stuck in her mouth. She's still not past this whole free-candy-whenever thing. "Whatcha doin'?"
no subject
"Contemplating the pointlessness of the Universe," he grumbles.
So deep.
no subject
Pinkie leans her arms on the piano and pillows her head on them. "That sounds boring. You want some company?" It also sounds pretty depressing, but she's not gonna bother pointing that out. It looks like he knows!
no subject
"I guess," he reluctantly admits. "Last night was a bomb and I'm trying to turn my general disgust into music and it is mostly just making me feel like I'm writing angry tweets."
And it's not like songs about disgust are really something a lead like Pinkie can pull off, anyway.
no subject
Still, she asks, "Do you want some help? Sometimes talking about songs helps you write them!" Pinkie may not be a whole lot of assistance with writing this particular kind of song - even if she does sort of agree that the party last night didn't really end so great - but it still helps to talk about things!
Or at least not to sit around and mope alone.

"I dunno...I want to write something actually good about some stuff that happened last night and..." He trails off. So much of it he just hits a mental roadblock on. Just like he did when they were actually happening. "There's some stuff where it's like...I don't even know..."
It takes a long time for him to surrender this last part.
"Why I did it."
no subject
Pinkie actually sounds a little uncertain about that. "Yeah. It got a little weird at the end there." And she doesn't mean the thing with Lesedi either. Kido had seemed off too. Did something happen to them? Something happened to her, even if she doesn't know exactly what it was.
Realizing she's clasping her hands together tightly, she smooths out her dress. "So what happened?"
no subject
"...Some jerks from Virgo were hassling me, I guess. And I was in no mood."
no subject
At least it was just that. That's easy enough to understand; she thought he meant something worse. What happened to her wasn't really bad, she guesses, but...it was something. "They're just jerks, then. Who were they?" Seriously, she hasn't met anyone from Virgo that was much younger than she is. Who's going around picking on little kids?
no subject
He almost doesn't want to say. He anticipates that she is going to make fun of him if he does. But...whatever. He does what he wants. No amount of incredulousness is going to hold him down!
"...Greg Universe," he growls, crossing his arms. Don't say it. Don't.
no subject
Okay, that does get a surprised look. Pinkie knows Greg pretty well, and he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd ever pick on ANYBODY, especially not little kids! She's not really sure he knows how to be mean.
But Pinkie also knows Tiger. Even if she didn't, it's just gonna upset him more to argue. She was trying to make him feel better!
"Well, what'd he do?"
no subject
"He just, like...refuses to get out of my face. He knows I don't even like him but he keeps talking to me like it's a joke or something."
There you have it.
