His retreating worries him as well but this early in the morning he really didn't care as much. He wasn't having that good of a control over his jerky right hand either, which is currently twitching back from the appearance of a person before doing a dismissive wave almost as if the hand was trying to say 'tch' which is stupid since hands weren't separate entities from the body, right?

"I have a splitting headache."

Which wasn't exactly what he had but it was better then trying to explain that he can tell the wants and needs of people around him and it was getting old. But he could taste the drift of worry lacing her usual needs of being loved and accepted, so he manages to uncurl a little bit to attempt a smile.
