I'll tell you all how the story ends

Who: Ghost Quest kids and all those who want to see them.
What: So as it turns out, going against the label might've been a bad move. Who knew, right?
When: Feb 3rd and after
Where: Pride HQ
Warnings: Talk of torture, aftermath of violence, aftermath of brainwashing, dudes there's some dark stuff.

For the past three days, the troublemakers and ghost helpers of Pride Records were kept locked away from their friends and their bands.

As far as everyone else knew, they were just gone. And then they were back.

They are all worse for wear, some far more than others and some much more mentally than physically, but they are all returned to their penthouses, finally, at the end of their ordeals.

But, at least they're back. Somewhat in one piece. For the most part.

[Something about this particular moment grates on Jamie's nerves - maybe it's the intrusion into his personal space, maybe it's the implication that Jamie should be thankful for whatever it is Tooru's trying to do here. Whatever it is, all sense of propriety goes out the window.]

I don't need any protection from you. You couldn't even protect yourself.

[And Tooru laughs in Jamie's face]

There's all kinds of protection, dumbass, sometimes it involves sacrifice.

[He had intended to be the one caught. He had intended to that him and Genos get caught and everyone else escaped. Obviously that didn't happen, and obviously he failed. But fuck, he had tried. And he's still trying.

He may not like Jamie. But he's just a dumb kid, so Tooru is going to try to protect this idiot. Even if he wants to throttle him.]

[As if out of nowhere, both boys will suddenly feel taps on their shoulder. When they look, there will be a rather irate Yuffie having stepped up while the two of them were railing at each other. Both of them have seen her angry by this point, in entirely different situations. She looks from Jamie, to Tooru, and then back to Jamie. The look on her face seems to be a particularly forced smile, that is all wrong at the edges and does not in the slightest reach her eyes.]

Any particular reason why you two decided to have a knock down drag out, I mean don't get me wrong, totes looks like you're havin' tons'a fun but...really?

[Jamie looks surprised at Yuffie's sudden appearance, then highly indignant. He gestures angrily at Tooru.]

I just asked what was wrong and this fucker flipped out on me!

[Tooru decides this is a good time to step back, so he does, clumsily, he can move forward on crutches, but going backwards is bit more difficult.]

I told him I was an accident and then he made fun of the fact that I'm crippled for the rest of my life

[He glares daggers at Jamie]

[Yuffie, in moment of complete and total adult behavior drags her hands down her face, staring at both of them through her fingers as she listens to both of them.

She looks ready to talk to both of them until she seems to register what Tooru said and gives Jamie a look that is not just a tiny bit withering. Jamie. You're going to be hearing about this later.~~waittillshetellsflashdad~~]

I don't care who did what. [Judging by the look she just gave J, that is not entirely true.] I think we can agree that drawing attention by screamin' at each other's the literal worst idea anybody's had in the past couple weeks.

And there've been some impressively bad ones.

[She's including her attempt to brain Squalo in the list of 'impressively bad' ideas. It's a long list.]

[That look from Yuffie is enough to make him flinch, regardless of how much he wants to save face in front of Tooru. Even so.]

I wasn't making fun of him and we weren't screaming. Whatever, I'm done.

[And he's totally ignoring you now Oikawa. Tooootally ignoring.]

[He sticks out his tongue at Jamie and turns his attention to Yuffie]

Well, I was trying to keep him quiet, but you know how he is.

Nuh-uh. Nope.

[Yuffie grabs Jamie by the back of his shirt, mostly to keep him in place, and partly to sort of vaguely shake him. She doesn't really have a better answer to this moment.]

Yeah, you guys were. And I totally heard most of that.

[When Tooru starts talking again, Yuffie stops, eyes narrowing. She immediately turns and gives Tooru a look that's almost as withering, because that is a tone she unfortunately recognizes, often using it herself. She may not have seen whatever just happened, but she would bet she'd tear her hair out.

But honestly she's just facing this one moment at a time. How is this her life. Oh my god, all she wants to do is hand you all off to Terry and throw up her hands. He's more of an adult, right? An adultier adult? Or Garnet. She'll call Keytar mom.

Someone. Anyone.

Please?]

We're all super stuck until who the heck knows when, so why don't we try not tearing each other into bits when we got so many people lining up to do it for us. Ya think?

[For the record, Yuffie still has Jamie by by the collar.]

[There's not many people for whom Jamie would just kind of go all submissive when grabbed like that. Fortunately, in this case, Yuffie is one of them. He lets out a little whine of protest but makes no effort to extricate himself.]

Fine. Can I just go then?

[Tooru just smiles in response to Yuffie's withering look. He's used to looks like that.]

I was trying to tell him that.

[And with that, since she's holding onto Jamie and not him, Tooru begins to make his way out of the cafe. Step, clack, step, clack]

Whatever, I need to take my meds and I left them upstairs.

[Yuffie dramatically rolls her eyes. at both boys.]

Fine. but if you two aren't careful I am gonna smack the both'a ya.

I swear to all that's Holy. Ya got it!

[Yuffie lets a disgusted sound out, one hand on her hip and the other holding Jamie by the back of the shirt.]

Ugh. Boys.

He wasn't trying to tell me anything. Jerk.

[Jamie mutters it at Tooru's retreating back and leans away from Yuffie in an experimental attempt at getting free.] Wouldja let me go already? I'm not gonna go after him or anything. 'f I never see his stupid face again I'd be happy.

[He heard that, he's not that far away. Have a middle finger Jamie

And Tooru out, Jamie, expect a nice present of another dating advice book later]

[Jamie is going approximately nowhere, though Yuffie doesn't seem to be particularly aware of the fact that she's got the worst kind of death grip on the back of his shirt.]

If it's not one thing, its another. I swear.

This kinda thing's so- [Yuffie makes another irritated noise, and its's about then as if she seems to turn to talk to Jamie again.]

Can ya try not to get in fights in public? Least for a bit?

[Yuffie's not scared.

...Okay that's a total lie. Yuffie's terrified. She doesn't want Jamie hurt. Or Tooru. Or anyone.]

I was trying not to! [At first, anyway.] I asked what happened to him. I was trying to be nice. He's always been a prick, though, so I shouldn't've bothered.

[This is accompanied by a glare at Tooru's retreating back, and then by another fidget in Yuffie's grip.]

Seriously, will you let go? I need to go put on a clean shirt.

[ Yuffie's attention is now ENTIRELY on Jamie. Which is a terrible place to be when she's clearly in a mood. Before letting him go, she shakes him one more time.]

If you get yourself in trouble I am gonna kick your butt into next Sunday do you understand?

[That said, she finally lets him go and sighs heavily.]

....You're covered in food.

[As if she hadn't noticed before this. She might not have.]

Yeah, because that - nutcase threw it at me. Like a fucking chimp.

Why are you jumping up my ass about this, anyway? I wasn't the one yelling and throwing shit!

[He was pretty cowed at first, and to be honest he kind of still is, but he's also getting sort of indignant now. She probably didn't manhandle Tooru because he's a gigantic freak of nature and would've beaten her up with his stupid crutch, Jamie thinks bitterly.]
