Jamie cranes his neck to watch as Sora flits around the room, almost like a little kid checking for monsters. He lets the other boy take his hand, lacing his fingers with Sora's to reinforce that he's not going anywhere, and listens, frowning in concern.

"'course I will," he says, giving Sora's hand a squeeze. "I'll be as careful as I can."

He doesn't know how much it will help, in the situation they're all in - terrible things could still happen regardless of any precautions they take - but Jamie's going to give it his best shot.
