Our House
Who: Anyone in Apartment A and any couch surfers, lone wolves, or friends who feel like dropping by
What: A catch-all mingle thread for Apartment Agent!
When: Early February
Where: A nondescript two-bedroom apartment
Warnings: None yet?
Honestly, it's not a big enough apartment for everyone living there. "Furnished" evidently doesn't mean "quality furniture," but there are enough places to sleep to go around; the floors are scuffed; the front door sticks; the walls are (thankfully) thick. It's not the greatest place ever, but at least for now, it's home.

[It's still strange . . . the idea of someone -- multiple someones -- trying to take care of her, even in such a simple way. It may be some time before she's used to it.]
[More likely, she suspects, she may never be used to it at all.]
Thank you. [The words are still soft, but her voice gentles, warms.] I don't eat.
[Hesitation.] What . . . were you drawing?
no subject
They brighten at the question, flipping back to show her the picture in question. Next to it, they write in careful pencil:]
My friend Papyrus

He looks very . . . [She gropes for a word.] Heroic.
[More hesitation -- she's not used to giving compliments:] You draw really well.
no subject
Thanks! He'd be really happy to hear that! He tries really hard to be a good monster mascot.
I miss him.

[Her eyes soften a little, though, at his next statement. Frisk is open, simple with their feelings. While she's not sure she's good at being comforting, she can appreciate the simplicity of it -- the heart worn on the sleeve, as it were.]
Hopefully you can be home before he misses you too.
Did you come for someone?
no subject
Sans. He's Papyrus's brother.
[They hesitate, before pulling the pad back to add:] I want to bring him back before Papyrus knows.

Are you . . . okay here?
no subject
I'm okay. It's not so bad here.
We didn't come to have fun.
[It's true that they're not really happy about all this. They're not okay with it. But they aren't hurt, they're living well enough, and they've got people on their side. They can be okay with that for as long as they need to be.]

[Her fingers stretch out, rest gently, softly on their hair. She couldn't say why she does it. Only that it feels right, the soft strands under her palm.]

Frisk smiles warmly and reaches out to take Lapis's free hand in both of their own. It's nice to make friends.]
