If he'd been looking, he'd have noticed just how difficult the situation was to even describe. After all, she'd meant it when she'd said he was important to her. But that couldn't convey just what she meant, like how far she was willing to go for him, or long she intended to live without him. She couldn't really say all of that either could she because without all of his memories he would never understand.
