Roy stares down into his wine glass in silence for a while. The civil war is more than just a nightmare that came to haunt them, he realizes, they did not return home together to recover and put that life behind them and forget. Is that why they're not living that happy life together he had naively guessed they have?

"If I find a way to escape with you I still think we should stay and help the others who have been taken from their homes. It would be against our duty if we left this potential enemy of Amestris free to kidnap others from our country, don't you think?"
