Though it hurts, the rush is empowering. The first moments of it are blinding in their intensity, and though the sensations linger, that initial high is short lived. Even so, his emotions remain lost within the flood. It leaves him light headed.

It leaves him craving more - for that moment when every powerful feeling of life seemed to flow through him at once.

Blanche takes another sip and then smiles, still watching carefully.
