"A little while, yeah." Only a few months, but it certainly felt like more. Everything does lately-- so much happens so fast around here, he must've aged about 30 years in the last 6 months.

It's not at all because the concept of talking about his feelings fills him with an unimaginable dread that makes it difficult to think about what he's saying before he says it. "He's great, you know? Honestly I kinda think he's too good for me." He says with a self-deprecating laugh and an awkward hand fussing with his hair. Like that last bit's a joke because it totally is. That has nothing at all to do with why he's still looking at the floor instead of at Jamie.
