"Playing music's the only time I really feel alive," he says with a smile. They didn't need to change anything there. Shin didn't even strive for the stage or the spotlight. Those were awesome, but they were just perks on the side for being able to play, and having someone- anyone- recognize his skill. He was easy to control in that sense. He might feel empty most of the time, but the thought of getting fired from the one thing he'd always wanted, the one thing that makes him feel human, that was enough to keep him in line. He might complain, but he'd do as they asked, and there wasn't much need to train that bit into him.
