Pearl gives one more pleading look to Garnet as she takes the poster, but then she turns and pushes her way out of the jeering crowd to walk down the street at a fast clip. Her worries haven't been confirmed or denied - Garnet's either really good at hiding it, or the brainwashing has really taken hold of her. All she accomplished is showing her face to the agent, so she's worse off than what she was.
