The thought makes his non-existent gut turn, and he takes a step back again, looking just a bit humiliated.
"It's gunna be fine..." he says, starting again slowly, though his gaze has wandered away from her in his embarrassment. "Its gunna take me a minute to get things checked out on the other side, so you can pack your bags and whatever, and then I'll be back to pick you up. They'll be able to handle your ship when we get there."
