"Back where I'm from we're called Monsters," Sans says, and not to be melodramatic or bitter. That's literally just what they're called and always have been called - the humans may have made it a dirty name, but Sans grew up with it. It's all he's ever known himself as.

"Greg is a really good pal of mine," he says, in way of clarification. "I took him over to see Steven when the poor kid's gem got cracked. I've kind of felt the need to keep an eye out for them since then."
