Papyrus takes a minute to respond. It does sound crazy, if thought about out of context. Luckily, Sans brought it up in the context of enjoying the room service. It's easy to shake off the unease, assume he meant it innocently, and cheerfully answer, "It sounds very convenient! Like living in a hotel..."

Wait, no, he doesn't want to encourage Sans to live like he's in a hotel. Much less think of reasons to go back. "If you don't mind the frantic pace of the 'biz', or being on display in front of so many people, the way your lives weren't your own!"
