The kid looks at him. Shit. That's right. He forgot there are actual kids here. But he honestly doesn't know any better way to try and make people feel better. He's only trying to help. This is why he doesn't do nice things for other people.

He makes a dark sound that might be frustration and he frowns. "It's whiskey. And does it matter? Not like I'm going to tell on you. Shit, I was drinking this crap like water when I was your age." He thinks...he's not sure.
