Jamie ducks his head at Sora's laughter, but it's not mocking - not that Jamie thinks Sora would mock him, really - and it seems to provide some kind of release for him, so he accepts that it's a good thing, something that Sora needed. Honestly, after the strain of the past few days and Sora's prolonged absence, it's just nice to hear his laugh again.
He sobers up, too, though at his next words. Jamie doesn't really know how to answer that - he wants to say something constructive, something that will help, but he just has more questions that he doesn't want to force Sora to answer. He looks at the other boy helplessly, his eyes probing.
"Are you, y'know...okay? I mean - I know you've been through a lot, and I'm not gonna make you tell me all about it, but...are you, like. Hurt, or anything?" Is there anything I can do to help, is what he's trying to say, but he has trouble expressing himself so directly in situations like this.
