What: Genos and Squalo throw a Solstice dinner party. Italian food for everyone!
When: December 21?ish (forward-dated a bit so it doesn't fall right before irl holidays)
Where: MANTICORE penthouse
Warnings: MANTICORE Squalo, Carnies, language, minors getting drunk, substance abuse, someone might decide to bone, idk.


[ Fuck the creepy shit, MANTICORE are aggressively throwing a Solstice party! Because why not, and who has the patience to wait until New Years? ]

[ There are locations/prompts in toplevels, but feel free to start your own as well. Generic timeline of the night would be: cooking, dinner, socializing with games and booze and possibly other things, and  a movie marathon into the wee hours of the morning for the ones interested.  ]

[ Okay, so Genos is a proper adult. Meanwhile Squalo... well, at least he looks like he's trying not to laugh, how nice of him. And then he's taking an empty glass, pouring the booze that Garnet brought over into it, and putting it down in front of Tiger. ]

Here, have the kiddie stuff instead.

[ "Kiddie stuff" that still has like 16% alcohol volume, but details. He seems to consider it juice. ]

Tiger was mostly ready to just relent to Genos's advice and not bother with the alcohol anymore, but the way that Squalo is handing it to him...now it feels like a challenge. And he already called it "kiddie stuff". It can't be that bad. If can't handle the baby stuff then he's going to look like such a dummy.

Tiger just looks at him, and then tentatively takes the glass. He takes a sip, and then...full body shiver. But he manages to hold it down like bad medicine, even if he looks pretty miserable with his choices.]

[HOW IS THIS KIDDIE STUFF, IT'S AWFUL.]

[ He'll pat/slap the kid on the back and shift his attention back to the food. The pinnacle of adulting and rolemodeling, clearly. ]

[Tiger jolts a little at the back slap, and then goes rigid. Okay. Okay okay okay. He's got this.

He takes another gulp of it and almost cries. He is going to die.]

[ How sad. He's so young. There is literally nothing that's getting accomplished by this. ]

[ Except fun. ]

[ Yeah, Squalo's definitely watching him out of the corner of his eye and eventually snorting into his pasta. That look is priceless. Seriously, little brats. ]

[What a rude man. Why must the Varia constantly torment this child?

Tiger notices Squalo laughing at him, and reacts to it mostly by trying even harder to pretend that he's cool about the whole thing. He's kind of taken his word that this stuff is actually for kids, so he's not expecting that it's very alcoholic, just SO BITTER.

Someone should probably stop him.]

[ Okay, he's getting massively scolded on the side. So a moment later, he does reach out and... pretty much wrestle the glass with the remaining drink out of Tiger's hand. ]

That's enough. Orders from above.

[ He definitely looks like his fun got ruined, too. ]

[ points at the strict little lady behind him with his thumb. ]

[Tiger looks at the "Fun Inquisition" and is secretly thankful. He shakes his head.]

[He gets up, and immediately stumbles a little, wavering. He feels really weird. Oh geez.

But all the same, he's quick to get far away from Squalo as possible.]

[ Just gonna watch the kid flee impassively, then turn back to the table and pour himself a mug of vodka. A day in a life. ]

[In most cases, she's fine with minors drinking. (Squalo's family is from Italia, after all.) As long as there were adults present and it was only a glass... but she knows him. Soon a firm, red nail-lacquered hand goes over Squalo's shoulder.]

Squalo, don't you think this is too much for the boy?

[The hand on his shoulder may have been a distraction for her other arm. It takes a good handful of white-silver hair... and yanks it. HARD.]
