The night club Maxxie rents out is in the heart of the downtown, sticking out like a sore thumb with its front entrance looking more like a museum than a club. There's a red carpet leading up the steps, with bodyguards littered about to keep the paparazzi and troublemakers at arm's length. No one with a recognizable face will be turned away from entering the club, and even through the giant, heavy doors there's a distinct baseline and a hint of flashing lights from the dance floor.
Said dance floor is the first step once you're inside. After an extravagant coat check and quick access to the downstairs bar, there's a wide open dance floor with the DJ on stage at the opposite end. There are bodyguards lining the walls, of course - after Naomi's stunt at the solstice party there's no losing them - but there's only one rule at this party: absolutely no one is to touch the mic except for the DJ and Maxxie. The music all night is a blend of genres, but every song is appropriate to dance to. Obviously there are some Flashstep songs thrown in for good measure, but rest assured that every band will probably hear their music in some form or another, whether it's the song itself or a remix to make it a bit more suitable for the mood of the party.
On the two upper levels there are balconies overlooking the dance floor, and it's a bit quieter up here due to some innovative architecture. One may actually be able to have a conversation in the comfortable lounge, and there's another bar here with a few more options for mixed drinks. It's a place to rest up, have a few drinks, and enjoy the music at a more reasonable volume before you head back out to the party. There's even waitstaff floating around making sure everyone has anything they want, and as always the bodyguards are hanging out at the edges of the space to make sure no one starts any trouble.
Finally, there's an entrance to an outdoor balcony on the top level, high enough up to get a nice view of downtown and still be sheltered from the nosy paparazzi down on the street. The temperature has dropped with the arrival of winter, but it's a calm, clear night in Vista city and the alcohol should be enough to keep you warm.
The bars are fully stocked with a few thousand dollars worth of alcohol to keep everyone properly buzzed, and there are a few dealers floating around upstairs ready to sell anything to anyone with a charming smile. The host himself will be bouncing around, enjoying himself as if it was all catered specifically to his idea of the perfect party (it was) and saying hi to anyone and everyone.
[OOC: This is party style! Throw up a toplevel and get tagging! You can get up to any shenanigans you want, but please keep in mind the bodyguards are plentiful and on high alert since the solstice party. Maxxie has, of course, tried and failed to get them to join in on the fun, but they don't seem too overbearing unless trouble starts brewing. The Countdown is here, but please continue making toplevels and threading pre- and post-countdown shenanigans!]

Sora | OTA
This particular Flashbabe apparently has a lot of energy to burn tonight, dancing mostly to the fastest paced songs and moving like his life depends on it. He's grabbed a couple of times by friends and strangers alike (Maxxie apparently knows a lot more people than he does!) but he seems happy to dance with any and all. He practically bounces from person to person, and spends plenty of time out on the dancefloor through out the night. Until he's flushed and ready to collapse in fact, and yet he pushes through and keeps going anyway. There's almost a determination there to just have fun.
҉ .BAR. ҉
At some point Sora has managed to acquire a polar bear ear headband and some star-shaped sunglasses, both which are perched on top of his fluffy hair. He's just starting on the drinking, again determined to have fun even if that means getting drunk for the first time in his life. He turned seventeen earlier in the month, he figures it's probably about time he has this experience anyway, right? He tries different things. Fruity drinks, alcoholic coffee beverages, even some jello shots because they looked colorful and fun. Have anything else to suggest to him? He's clearly up for trying new things right now.
҉ .UPSTAIRS. ҉
A drunk Sora is a really, really affectionate Sora. Which means if he spots you, you're getting clung to immediately. He babbles a affectionate words too, and quite often nuzzles his face against people's arms or necks or cheeks like some kind of dog or cat demanding pets. The star-shaped sunglasses have mysteriously disappeared, and yet he's still got the Winter Bear ears perched on his head. These are likely to fall off at any minute though, as he seems to have lost track of the fact he's even wearing them.
There's a likelihood here that he'll run into people selling drugs he's never even seen before but he always seems to shoo them away with flapping hands like they're a bothersome fly.
At one point he dozes in a comfortable seat in the lounge, resting up for even more partying and the countdown that'll be happening later in the night.
҉ .BALCONY. ҉
The cold air out here on the balcony helps to sober him up if only for a little bit, and he leans on the railing as he stares up at the sky, squinting, trying to catch glimpses of twinkling stars even though the lights of the city make it somewhat difficult.
[Or wildcard it, he'll probably be bouncing around the place. Please lmk if you'd rather deal with sober Sora than drunk Sora for whatever reason! As usual, either prose or action spam/brackets is cool, I'll follow your lead.]
upstairs
"You havin' fun, bro? You havin' a good time?" he slurs at Sora, patting whatever part of him he can reach.

He shifts and faces his friend with his usual grin. "Yeah! S'a great party, right?" He's poking Jamie's cheek gently. "And you're a great friend... I think we needed one, didn't we need one? A party."
no subject
He gives the hand holding Sora's a little shake and grins at him. "And you're here. And I'm glad. Super glad."
no subject
The rest of what he says sinks in though, and Sora is incredibly happy to hear it. He feels... light as air, suddenly. Like he might float up to the ceiling. He tries to slip his fingers in between Jamie's so he can hold his hand properly. Maybe that way he won't float away. "Yeah, me too... Super," he repeats.
He's sort of hyper-focused on Jamie right now, which was easy to do considering their close proximity. He bumps his nose against the other boy's cheek. Since he can no longer poke it with his finger. Makes sense, right? "Hey, Jamie..?"
no subject
Then Sora's nuzzling his face, which elicits nothing more severe than a very mildly surprised look in response. "Hmmm?"
no subject
He's comfortable where he is. This is pretty fun just being with his best friend. And it occurs to him then he'd been about to ask Jamie something. He stares up at the ceiling as he tries to remember what it was. "I think I forgot..." A gasp. "Oh no! Wait! I got a present to give you! Ummm... More than one. Yeah. Or did I do that already?"
no subject

"I'll have to give it later. S'not here." He looks very disappointed by this, like someone has just told him they cancelled the holidays altogether. "Sorry, I could give you something else 'til then?"
no subject
"You don't hafta get me anything, man," he says, and joggles Sora's hand. "Hey, c'mon, don't look all...sad 'n shit. 's not a big deal." He tries to catch Sora's eye and give him a smile to cheer him up.
no subject
He sits up a little more again, bringing their intertwined hands up between them and holding them close to his chest. "Yeah, but what if I wanna give you something? Can I?"
no subject
He looks a little puzzled at Sora's comment, cocking his head to the side a bit, but his smile doesn't waver. "What'd you have in mind?" he asks curiously.
no subject
Afterwards he looks up at Jamie expectantly from this position, looking for a reaction or an answer as if the other boy could have clearly understood him. Maybe the words that were understandable were enough. But then again maybe not.

He stares in awe at how quickly Artolo tips that drink back. "Nah, tabloids don't care if you're drunk, they write stuff anyways," he points out with a deep frown.

"More about how you're a vampire werewolf," he finally fishes out. "And everyone knows that kind of thing is bs."

He seems to be a little down about this, but only because it's crossed his mind again, and he doesn't like the implication that he's cheating on people like the tabloid suggested. "And it's not like Ryouta's kiss meant anything, or that I do that all the time -- it was my first kiss!"
