The night club Maxxie rents out is in the heart of the downtown, sticking out like a sore thumb with its front entrance looking more like a museum than a club. There's a red carpet leading up the steps, with bodyguards littered about to keep the paparazzi and troublemakers at arm's length. No one with a recognizable face will be turned away from entering the club, and even through the giant, heavy doors there's a distinct baseline and a hint of flashing lights from the dance floor.
Said dance floor is the first step once you're inside. After an extravagant coat check and quick access to the downstairs bar, there's a wide open dance floor with the DJ on stage at the opposite end. There are bodyguards lining the walls, of course - after Naomi's stunt at the solstice party there's no losing them - but there's only one rule at this party: absolutely no one is to touch the mic except for the DJ and Maxxie. The music all night is a blend of genres, but every song is appropriate to dance to. Obviously there are some Flashstep songs thrown in for good measure, but rest assured that every band will probably hear their music in some form or another, whether it's the song itself or a remix to make it a bit more suitable for the mood of the party.
On the two upper levels there are balconies overlooking the dance floor, and it's a bit quieter up here due to some innovative architecture. One may actually be able to have a conversation in the comfortable lounge, and there's another bar here with a few more options for mixed drinks. It's a place to rest up, have a few drinks, and enjoy the music at a more reasonable volume before you head back out to the party. There's even waitstaff floating around making sure everyone has anything they want, and as always the bodyguards are hanging out at the edges of the space to make sure no one starts any trouble.
Finally, there's an entrance to an outdoor balcony on the top level, high enough up to get a nice view of downtown and still be sheltered from the nosy paparazzi down on the street. The temperature has dropped with the arrival of winter, but it's a calm, clear night in Vista city and the alcohol should be enough to keep you warm.
The bars are fully stocked with a few thousand dollars worth of alcohol to keep everyone properly buzzed, and there are a few dealers floating around upstairs ready to sell anything to anyone with a charming smile. The host himself will be bouncing around, enjoying himself as if it was all catered specifically to his idea of the perfect party (it was) and saying hi to anyone and everyone.
[OOC: This is party style! Throw up a toplevel and get tagging! You can get up to any shenanigans you want, but please keep in mind the bodyguards are plentiful and on high alert since the solstice party. Maxxie has, of course, tried and failed to get them to join in on the fun, but they don't seem too overbearing unless trouble starts brewing. The Countdown is here, but please continue making toplevels and threading pre- and post-countdown shenanigans!]

"I'll have to give it later. S'not here." He looks very disappointed by this, like someone has just told him they cancelled the holidays altogether. "Sorry, I could give you something else 'til then?"
no subject
"You don't hafta get me anything, man," he says, and joggles Sora's hand. "Hey, c'mon, don't look all...sad 'n shit. 's not a big deal." He tries to catch Sora's eye and give him a smile to cheer him up.
no subject
He sits up a little more again, bringing their intertwined hands up between them and holding them close to his chest. "Yeah, but what if I wanna give you something? Can I?"
no subject
He looks a little puzzled at Sora's comment, cocking his head to the side a bit, but his smile doesn't waver. "What'd you have in mind?" he asks curiously.
no subject
Afterwards he looks up at Jamie expectantly from this position, looking for a reaction or an answer as if the other boy could have clearly understood him. Maybe the words that were understandable were enough. But then again maybe not.
no subject
He's not sure he heard right, either - something about kissing? That couldn't be right. Or maybe it could - this is Sora, after all. Still, better be sure. Jamie kind of pushes Sora's head back with his forefinger and leans down to peer at him in drunken bewilderment.
"...you wanna what?"
no subject
And of course he actually has to answer, not just let his face do the talking for him. With a finger he scratches his cheek, which is slightly flushed, though from the alcohol or embarrassment at this situation he's putting himself in who knows, maybe both. "Uh... I kin'a wanna try kissing you?"
Which is not the first time the thought has occurred to him but it is the first time he's let it settle in his head long enough to voice it, usually just dismissing it and forgetting it, as he's prone to do with things that seem kind of complicated. Like wanting to maybe kiss your friend to see what it's like.
This is all Ryouta's fault. Also the alcohol's. But mostly Ryouta's.He laughs quietly, and admits, "Maybe a lil' more than kinda." Because even a drunk Sora is an honest Sora.
no subject
His first impulse is to laugh it off as some kind of joke and give Sora a bad time, but somewhere in the complex routing systems of his brain the notion gets bogged down in a vague but impenetrable morass of what can only be described as "things you think are a good idea while you're really drunk." Why not? It's just a kiss. He likes Sora, Sora's his...friend? Yeah, he's comfortable saying that Sora is his friend. Friends do stuff with each other they wouldn't do with most other people. Jamie probably wouldn't kiss most other people. Ergo, kissing Sora is a thing that should happen.
After a few seconds of serious consideration, Jamie shrugs and kind of grins and says, "Sure, okay, why not?"
no subject
And Jamie says he's okay with it. Well then. Sora's face lights up like the sun, smile brighter than anything. "Yeah? Really? Okay, let's-- Hold on..."
There's some more squirming as he tries to find a good position for this. Hilariously, this somehow ends up with Sora half in Jamie's lap, legs thrown over his and arms around his neck.
"Okay, does it matter where?" He repeats this in his head and finds it sounds weirder than he meant it to. "I mean like, yeah the mouth, I wanna do that, but what about like... Here?" He ghosts his fingers over Jamie's neck, then up-- "Here?" His jawline. "Here?" Cheek. "Here?" Ear. "And here?" Finally he picks up one of Jamie's hands in his own, bringing his fingers close to his mouth. "Okay?"
no subject
He's just kind of grinning stupidly at Sora, that look he's perfected that's amused and indulgent and affectionate all at the same time, when Sora's hands start wandering, and this takes Jamie by surprise. It doesn't really help that he's obscenely ticklish and the feel of those light little touches on his neck and face are both maddening and strangely pleasurable, making his toes curl and muscles twitch in reflex.
"Okay, wow, yeah, that's - h-have you been, like, planning this? 'Cause that's - really complicated," he manages. The fingers of the hand Sora's holding twitch a little toward his lips while the other tightens around his waist. He looks at his friend with some surprise and admiration, then, leaning up and forward. "Let's, let's do it. All of it. That - yeah. All of that sounds good."
no subject
So. Still being Sora, in other words, just with even less inhibitions than usual.
The expression Jamie's got on his face makes him feel giddy, that lighter than air feeling again yet his breath gets caught in his throat for a second and his chest feels tight and his stomach twitchy and these are all new feelings but at the same time they're somewhat familiar. A heavier, even more overwhelming version of things he'd felt that morning when Jamie was at his door, right when he'd needed him. He's a gift, to protect, to be treasured, to be incredibly grateful for and never let go.
Taking in a shaky breath, unable to quit smiling like a complete dork, Sora leans in to nuzzle his face against Jamie's neck, holding his hand in his own and lacing their fingers together again. "You make me really happy, Jamie. I just want to make you happy too, all the time... I want you to keep looking at me like that." Mumbling now, against Jamie's skin because he's started trailing kisses up his neck, toward his ear.
This doesn't even compare, it doesn't hold a candle to the kiss Ryouta had hastily given him and he'd sort of suspected it wouldn't, it's so much better. So much better, galaxies apart, and he hasn't even reached Jamie's mouth yet.

Sora might be good at expressing himself and speaking honestly, but Jamie is not, even when he's drunk, and even though Sora's words trigger a surge of intense feelings in him he can't find the right way to vent them, except through a frustrated groan. He swallows convulsively and squeezes Sora's hand tightly, and his other hand finds its way up to the back of Sora's head, fumbling through the motions of ruffling his hair.
"I, uhhhh, I - think we can work on that," he gasps, as Sora's breath on his neck makes all his hair stand on end. "The - the looking, and - god you're really good at this, holy shit -"
no subject
"I've never done any of this before. Guess I'm a natural?" He may be a tiny bit proud about that. Partially because he's causing Jamie to make funny, kinda cute noises, which he plans to commit to memory so long as his brain allows it.
It doesn't bother him in the slightest that Jamie can't voice his feelings. He wasn't expecting him to, anyway. Plus, he's gotten pretty good at reading Jamie's emotions from other signs. He's holding tighter, not pushing away. He gave an affirmative if a bit vague response to Sora's sappy mumblings. These are all good things. And he gave him a compliment!
But as much as Sora's enjoying getting to pretty much shower him in affection via little kisses here and there... He really wants a real, actual kiss with him too, and the anticipation for it is almost too much.
He lifts his head to look him in the eyes. And yes, there is still a ridiculous grin on his face, even as he finally leans in to capture Jamie's lips with his own, in a kiss that starts out soft and sweet, but wanting, if also a little clumsy.

It's not all that different from kissing Luci, which Jamie had wondered about for some reason; Sora tastes like jell-o shots instead of cigarettes, and he lacks all of Luci's finesse and mastery, but his lips feel nice on Jamie's and make him hungry for more. Probably the biggest difference between this kiss and the one that kicked off the festivities in Luci's trailer last month is the fact that Jamie is utterly unafraid to take more this time, tangling his free hand in Sora's hair and pressing their mouths together with all the drunken fervor he can muster. Jamie's not totally experienced at this, either, but he's certainly enthusiastic.
no subject
He mostly follows Jamie's lead with the kiss since he has at least a bit more experience it seems like, though when an idea hits him he goes for it: experimenting with little flicks of his tongue, sliding his free hand up the back of Jamie's shirt along his spine. The sudden feel of bare skin usually clothed against his fingertips as they're kissing sends a shudder racing through him, and pulls an unexpected whine from his throat.
This is Jamie, he thinks. And it's such an obvious, simple, uncomplicated thought and yet it makes him feel pleasantly warm all over. He shifts, tilts, does what he can to deepen the kiss like he can't get enough. Enough of Jamie, his mouth, his skin against his fingertips, all of it, more. It's all happening very fast but not a single part of him feels like throwing the brakes. That would make it stop. And he doesn't want it to stop.

Two wriggling teenage boys on a sofa is probably a recipe for disaster, but Jamie's too drunk and too swept up in his emotions to care about anything but the way Sora's making him feel.
no subject
He doesn't think too hard on any of it, and instead lets his feelings, instinct, his heart guide him and tell him what to do. As far as he knows, it's never steered him wrong before. And he easily lets Jamie take lead again any time it seems like he wants to. There's no fight here, no competition, just a desire on Sora's part to see his friend feeling good. To see him happy, satisfied... even loved. Along with a growing need to be the cause of that, to be the one to give him those feelings. It's a need that grows louder as each second passes, until it's bordering on deafening, drowning out everything else.
He does his best to satiate it by mapping out easily accessible skin with his hands, trying to focus on and memorize Jamie's reactions to places that are touched -- along his back, his sides, his chest, his neck -- to find the best possible one. And by kissing him deeper too, as much as he's able, as much as he can figure out how, through lack of experience and drunkenness. But it's still not really enough.

Before too long he releases Sora's hand so he can return the favor, reaching up under his shirt to fumble his way over Sora's chest and ribs and shoulders, around to the small of his back and up his spine, while cupping Sora's jaw in the other hand. He teases Sora's lower lip with his teeth, thinks about the other things he could do with his teeth to other parts of Sora's body, what those lips could be doing to his body.
If he was less shitfaced he might pay a little more attention to the mental pop-up window reminding him that this is Sora, his bandmate, and that this could make things really awkward, [A]bort [R]etry [I]gnore, but the total inebriation + teen boy hormones combo is a hell of a drug. He removes his lips from Sora's long enough to graze the other boy's jawline with his lower incisors and stammer at him drunkenly, "I - hey, you - you wanna, like, h-have you ever - y-you wanna go further than this, like - 'cause god you make me feel so good, oh my god oh my god - "
Nevermind that with as much booze as Jamie has in his bloodstream right now he probably can't perform worth a good goddamn. He's sixteen and fucking invincible right now.
no subject
While his mind is busy restarting again, he almost doesn't catch that the other teen is speaking, let alone what he's saying. But another minute, after it finally sinks in, he turns red practically from ear to ear. Though being given very solid verbal evidence that he's making Jamie feel good (really good, apparently) kind of makes him want to go back to just grinning like an idiot.
Instead, he has to think, which is a difficult task at the moment, and answer. "I've never... All of it, any of it... Yeah, I want to, but, oh..." This is all muttered against Jamie's neck, his ear, his collarbone -- he can't keep his lips away from his skin for very long.
"Jamie, yeah, but not h-here, not... When we're..." Trailing off, he reluctantly finds and takes Jamie's hands to stop their roaming, moves away enough so he has to stop kissing him, as much as he really, really doesn't want to. Except then he just stares at Jamie, unable to finish his sentence or even catch his breath.
no subject
He starts to say that of course he didn't mean right here in front of everyone, they could find someplace more private, problem solved, but then he slowly pieces together the words Sora's saying and gathers that he has other reservations. Unfortunately (and ironically) Jamie's too drunk to figure out what those reservations are.
"When we're...what?" He tips his head to the side quizzically, lifts a hand to start fooling around under Sora's shirt again, thinks that might be a bit rude and settles for stroking his hair instead, hoping that's not overstepping his bounds too much.
no subject
"When we're like... Like, this." Vague waving of his free hand. "Drunk. 'Cause people do stupid stuff when they're drunk, right? So what if later you think this was a stupid thing to do? And it causes you trouble that we did it... I don't want to cause you trouble, I want to make you happy. And not just... not just drunk happy but happy happy. And not just for right now, but for always. That's what I want the most."
no subject
"Dude," he says softly. His mouth works as he tries to come up with something more profound, but he just manages another "Dude" as his thumb trails over Sora's lips. Finally he bobs his head in acquiescence.
"Yeah...yeah. You're - you're probably right. There's, like - we can talk about it later, right? When we're not both shitfaced. Do - do you wanna talk about it? T'morrow or something?" He looks at Sora tentatively.
no subject
He takes the hand near his mouth and shifts his head to press a very light kiss to the heel of Jamie's hand, without really thinking about it, just on instinct. Then he nods himself, his smile back to being a thousand watts, so bright. "Yeah. Yeah, definitely! Tomorrow. And... and for now I guess we should... Uh, maybe hang out where there's lots of people? So I don't... like, jump you or something," he says with a laugh. At least he's being honest!
no subject
And then Sora threatens to jump him if they're left alone again and Jamie can't help it, he throws his head back and crows with laughter. Everything is hilarious when he's this drunk, and Sora, who can make him laugh when he's stone-cold sober, is no exception.
"You think so, huh?" he says when he gets ahold of himself. He reaches up to tousle Sora's hair, more playfully this time, and then tries to school his expression into a halfway serious look. "But. Yeah. Tomorrow we'll talk. And we can see where things go from there."
