☆TRACK IIX: BETTER TO PRETEND PT. 2

What: Hit gameshow series “Fairy Trial” is celebrating one of its anniversaries, and it’s invited you onboard. Check out the OOC post for IC match ups!

Where: Sevetop Entertainment’s studio.

“Every prince is a fantasy, The witch is inside of me. Her poison will wash away the memory.” ☆BETTER TO PRETEND The day has finally come for Fairy Trial filming to begin! No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination. Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone. “We kill the lights and put on a show. It's all a lie, but you'd never know. The star will shine, And then it will fall, And you will forget it all.”

Psst! This way!

[ There's a hand waving around a corner toward an old beanstalk looking prop. ]

[oceantier]

[. . . What?]

[Lapis catches both whisper and insistent hand. She glances toward the hairdresser, who seems to be fussing in her kit for just the right hair product, then back at the hand.]

[She'll take what chances she can.]

[With a last glance back, she follows the hand, ducking back behind the beanstalk prop.]

[woomy]

Booyah! You saw me.

[ She beams a smile at her as she steps aside to give Lapis more room. The beanstalk is hollow and has a ladder inside for someone to climb up to a cloud platform near the top. ]

You can camp out here for awhile.

[oceantier]

[She recognizes this girl from Agent Apartment. They haven't spoken a lot, but J and the others seem to trust her. Lapis climbs the ladder's rungs to the cloud sanctuary at the top, breathing a quiet note of relief. The cloud is fluffy enough that they won't be seen immediately from down below unless they stand.]

Not really. I was trying to figure out what this thing was.

[ She hasn't had too much trouble with the costume department, besides her own insistence on having a hat. The glamour helps her have her tentacles look like hair, but she's not going to rely just on that. ]

Nothing looks like it's supposed to here . . .

[Not even themselves.]

I wonder just how much the bad guys have taken from other worlds. Why stop at just people?

[ They could have taken technology and copyrighted material and patents. ]

[oceantier]

[She hadn't considered that. At all. That's quite a paradigm shift.]

Do you think . . . they have?

[Perhaps everything around them . . . perhaps everything is an amalgamation stolen from other worlds. Including however they took the memories of the musicians.]

[It's a truly daunting thought.]

[woomy]

It'd save them a lot of time. They're putting their energy into music related things and nothing else. At least that we know of.

[ To her it's like stacking all Damage Up to a ridiculous degree without using any other abilities. It doesn't make sense overall and definitely overdoing it. However, there must be some reason why. Maybe everything else is covered by other areas. Like teammates or stealing or camping. ]

[oceantier]

[It's true, and the worry flickers through her face.]

Silver and Gold . . . they did say that the executives have been around a very long time.

[But even if it is true . . . is there anything that they can do with it? What's been stolen isn't necessarily from any of their worlds, and even if it has been, that doesn't necessarily give them the knowledge to destroy it.]

[If they'd gotten anything from the Gems, though, at their current level of technology . . . that would be serious.]

Have you noticed anything from your world?

[woomy]

Not really. I think that maybe the giant eel in the ocean might be a great great great grandfish of a Zapfish though.

[ It's from a tabloid and completely false. Only 3 seems to believe in the possibility that it is real. ]

[oceantier]

[Blink.]

What?

. . . Giant eel?

[Two separate questions there. She's heard about neither before.]

[woomy]

Yeah! I read this tabloid in the library about a giant eel in the ocean by Virgo. I'd like to meet it and see if it's related.

[ Somehow, she thinks she'd be able to tell despite the many years necessary for its evolution. ]

[oceantier]

I've . . . been under the water a lot. I haven't seen a giant eel?

[Totally not intending to break 3's heart here, just -- what eel?]

[woomy]

But there's a whole ocean it could hide in. It might not be as big as back home, but it's still big.

[ What was that about breaking her heart? ]
