☆BETTER TO PRETEND

The day has finally come for Fairy Trial filming to begin!

No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination.

Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone.

[ She's acting as if she's a helper, it was particularly easy to get in, for her.

She looks like any other member of the crew, dressed simply with her hair pulled back and a smile on her face. She watches him practice, for a long moment. It's nice to see him practice, and she can't help the buzz of something pleasant she feels at seeing him in a fighting stance, looking like the boy she knows. ]

Hello, Sora.

[Sora drops his stance when he hears her voice, brings the sword up to brace it over his shoulder. It's not something one should do with this type of sword were it real, but was something he used to do frequently with his keyblade, so the movement and posture feels natural to him.]

Hey. [He greets her back with a smile.] Wasn't expecting to run into you here. I'm glad this time we didn't crash!

[ She laughs, and it's a small tinkling thing, and her feet click against the tile as she walks closer. ]

My cousins are competing. I'm volunteering.

[ Namine pauses, smiling at the sword over his shoulder, and then at him. ]

Do you think you're going to need that?

[Her cousins? Oh, right. Riku had called her his cousin, he remembers.]

Yeah I saw, er, Rick here, when they were holding auditions. Who are your other cousins?

[He looks around a bit as he asks this, then switches his focus to the sword when she mentions it.]

This? Probably not. But it looks pretty cool, right?

[ She nods and then as if it doesn't sound odd.]

Yes. Alex, Serena and Diana. We're all family.

[ There's a beat. And then she continues. Namine is not a very natural liar and it shows every time she tries. ]

They all stand out more than I do, so they got chosen.

[ And then. ]

It does. It's very cool.

Hey, I didn't know you were related to Serena. She's one of my friends, too.

[Well, he has the feeling she's not actually related to her, but still. He hadn't known that they knew each other.

He can only really nod at the explanation she gives, since it sounded very much like something being made up on the spot, and he didn't want to push her to lie more when it wasn't really necessary around him. Especially not after he'd seen and spoken with Kairi earlier in the month.

After a moment of looking contemplative, his smile returns.]

I bet they're happy to have you here rooting for them, though.

[That makes Namine smile, because of course Sora and Usagi would get along. They're very alike, to be honest, and Namine feels- Well. She thinks she feels the same kind of happiness around both of them.]

I think so. they'll do very well though, I'm sure. They're good at this sort of thing.

[ Implication being that she isn't. Fighting is not one of Namine's skills. In fact physical activity in general is not something Namine is particularly skilled at, or at least she's never really tried to be. ]

I'll root for you too, okay?

Do you know what all challenges they have? Mine probably won't be too hard, I just have to figure out which one from a bunch of duplicates is my best friend.

[He reaches up to adjust his hat, smiling.]

Okay. Thanks! I'd like that a lot.

I'm not sure. I've been helping, mostly, so I haven't seen their courses.

[She smiles conspiratorially behind her hand though.]

I do know that Diana is Rei's hero though. I think she'll be happy with it.

[She knows Sora wont get why, and she can't really explain it, but then, maybe he'll just assume she's a fan.]
