☆BETTER TO PRETEND

The day has finally come for Fairy Trial filming to begin!

No matter if they’ve arrived by limo or taken the bus, everyone involved gets star treatment as the makeup and costume departments go wild with the models they’ve been given. At least Sevetop has good accomodations. While it’s a chaotic and crowded scene, everyone still manages to fit in the two buildings Sevetop has dedicated for Fairy Trial’s purposes in this area. It’s one of the only points today that anyone will have a chance to everyone else. After all, once everyone involved in a particular challenge is done with, they’re hurried out the door and to their particular destination.

Every challenge has a different area it takes place in, after all. For some pair ups, they’ll find themselves merely being escorted to another set on Sevetop’s huge property. Others will find themselves being escorted to some very classy transportation and taken outside of Vista City to special obstacle courses that simply wouldn’t fit anywhere else. On the bright side, once the actual filming is done no matter the location, the crew involved seems to relax considerably. Whether they’ve done great or not, Heroes and Royals are treated to dinner and a change out of their costumes. Good job, everyone.

[ The girl looks like she's practically invisible, in a dark dress and looking like any other member of the crew even though she's technically not one. She's taken on a tray and a wide eyed expression and hilariously no one has questioned her, or if they have it's been to ask her where something is. Namine has just been pointing. This has lead a lot of random techs to be sent in the wrong direction completely on accident.

Namine is a terrible liar, and is not about to take a chance on it.

But she does have water bottles and a small packet in her pocket that she's attempting to use to help doctor any musicians she meets. She's on a mission, and Namine is determined. ]

[Shen has a knack for noticing the small things. the things other miss. the things that most others ignore...

while he's holding a drink to himself, he's also taken to watching her, brow furrowed. somethings seems...off.]

[ Namine is used to being watched. She went through a chunk of time where that was all that happened, she was under watch constantly. So, it's something she recognizes, and Namine pulls a smile to her face before greeting the person who's been watching her. ]

Hello.

[ It's a little unsettling, probably, people just seeming to glaze over the moment they look at her for more than a moment, but she's been thankful for it. ]

Is there anything I can do to help you?

[ On top of everything, she can feel where his mind has been prodded at, and she's aware he's one of the people needing rescuing. Maybe this can be something good? ]

[brown eyes that seem to have ana odd redness to them blink at Namine, as if trying to place her. he doesn't recognize her, that's for sure, but...]

Do you work here?

[what? he can be plenty blunt.]

[ Namine, once again, is a terrible liar. But she's managed to figure out a way to talk around the truth. ]

I'm volunteering.

[ Her smile is kind, but she still seems to be slightly off, most of it is Gold's work, but some of it might just be her. ]

[that makes sense. or does it? though Shen frowns a bit in suspicion, voice a little accusatory]

That's not a way to get autographs, you know.

[ That makes her laugh, a little like it's been surprised out of her. ]

I'm not here for autographs. My Cousins are all heroes, today.

[ Her story slips out a little easier now that she's told it more than once. ]

[waitaminute]

'Cousins'?

[he seems satisfied that she's not just a fan trying to get close, now, but...huh?]

Yes. Diana, and Serena, and Rick.

[She ticks them all off on her fingers against the tray, pleased with herself .]

They all made it. I didn't.

[ Namine doesn't sound too bothered by it. She doesn't know what she would've done if she'd made it through. ]

So I volunteered.

Made it...on to the show? [that's...a different light of things. Shen gives her another look, brow furrowed. so she volunteered because all her cousins got in, except...]

I'd be too embarrassed, if everyone but me made it...

[ She shakes her head. ]

I think I would've made a pretty terrible hero. I'm more help like this. And I get to watch.

[ She doesn't seem very embarrassed, but then, she's not very capable of embarrassment really, if you ask her. ]

Then why'd you try out?

[he pauses then...and then after a moment-]

Shen. I'm Shen.

Everyone else thought I should?

[ She shrugs, it's an odd sort of place to be, and Namine is terrible with peer pressure. ]

Shen. It's nice to meet you.

[ There's a beat, and she smiles. ]

I have a co-worker who would be very jealous of me, right now.

[ She finds it just a little funny, but she's doesn't sound rude, just earnest. ]
