[It's been a few days, people have recovered. Some better off than others. And today MANTICORE is gathered to deal and talk about what happened.]

[She takes his invitation and steps inside. This is actually the first time she's been in another band's penthouse, so she can't resist looking around to see how they decorated.]

Things have been pretty bad lately so I thought I'd come see how you guys were doing.

[Even Trucy knows that 'pretty bad' is an understatement, but she's not sure how else to put it. She turns back to him and holds out a tupperware container, then rattles it enticingly.]

I brought cookies~

[It looks almost exactly the same as their's. Though there's sheet music littering the tables.]

I think we've all seen better days.

[He'll take the container, can't say no to a cute girl.]

Actually, though, I think I lucked out this time. I was in one of the shuttles that got hijacked by those two weirdos, so I never even made it to the party.

[Which she is now kind of grateful for.]

[Now he wants to cook.]

Glad you're alright. ... What do you mean by weirdos?

Those two weird guys in the helmets that keep going around and asking for duets with people.

[Trucy has a way of talking about strange things as if they were perfectly ordinary.]

It was actually pretty pleasant for a kidnapping. They just locked us in a warehouse until the party was over.

[He nods, and honestly he kind of wishes he was kidnapped instead of going to that party. They have answers, and he needs them.]

None of you guys got injured, so I guess it's fine.

[magic_to_do]

Yeah, I don't think they're bad guys or anything like that.


[She frowns.]


I wish I knew how they knew something was going to happen at the party though.

They probably know a lot more than they're letting on.

They'd pretty much have to. But it'd be nice if they'd just tell us what's going on. Or even what they want from us.

They must be really attached to their 'mysterious stranger' act.

[Yeah, Trucy. That's probably it.]

It's either that, or they're trying to keep themselves safe.

Hmm... yeah, that could be it.

[And, because she was thinking about it while locked in the warehouse... and because Trucy is a master of the weird non sequitur]

Do you think they could be robots?

[wounds]

I've never seen their faces, it's certainly possible.

[The strange feels oddly familiar to him. It must come from being part of a shounen.]

I don't think anyone has. So I was thinking what if those helmets are their faces?

Any other evidence of them being robots?

Hmmm...

[Wait for iiiit..]

Nope.

[She shrugs and flashes him an embarrassed smile.]

It was just a weird thought I had. Maybe it was because I had a... memory... vision... thingy... when they kidnapped us. There were robots in it.

[Ah. Oh well.

Wait she remembered robots?]

What kind of robots?

[She's a little surprised he's interested in her weird ramblings, but since he asked...]

Weird ones. I don't really know if they were supposed to be scary or cute, but they had these sort of LED faces and clampy arms. They were a lot stronger than they looked, though....

[It's a shame, because she thinks if they weren't being scary and roughing people up, they would have been pretty cute.]

A really mean lady was using them to take me and a bunch of other people hostage.

[He likes hearing about robots, and he'll happily listen to anybody if robots are involved.]

LED faces and clampy arms, huh? Its too bad they weren't used for better.

[Heroic bots are the best.]

It is. I get the feeling they would've been a lot nicer if that creepy lady wasn't around. She kept yelling a lot and hitting them with stuff.

[What the heck had she even wanted, anyway? Something to do with.... a trial? No, it's no good. She can't remember. Finally she shrugs and shakes her head with a smile.]

I mean, it was just a weird vision thingy. Who knows if it's even real?

Who hits robots? They're just trying to do their jobs.

Right. It could just be in your imagination. [But it has to mean something if they're all having this problem.]

It could. I do have a great imagination.

[She could certainly believe that if it was just her. But lately...]

Still... there seems to be whole epidemic of vision thingies going around.

If it's an epidemic, it's probably not a coincidence. There's definitely something going on.

Yeah...

Now if only we could figure out what it is.

[Because seriously things are weird lately.]

I wonder if there's a common thread to all the strange stuff going on...
