[It's been a few days, people have recovered. Some better off than others. And today MANTICORE is gathered to deal and talk about what happened.]

How's your, uh--[She gestures to her face and her eyes flash red briefly. She's starting to pick up on things with it.

Let's not talk about the fact she was basically dead there. Ever. She's more worried because he's got a lasting injury.]

[His eyes are still just as weird as ever, which is why he's starting to get increasingly attached to his sunglasses.

So he shrugs a shoulder.]

[She glances over her shoulder and drops her voice.]

Has Lesedi contacted you?

[He shakes his head.]

No. Has she talked to you?

[blindfoldcode]

Not yet. I've been pretty well behaved since everything, though. Just... do what you're told. [She shakes her head, looking away. It doesn't sit right with her. But she has to protect herself--she can't let her bandmates down again.]

Yeah, I figured.

[He sighs.]

I don't need to end up with a hand through my chest.

[Not until it's metal again.]

[He doesn't need it then.]

It's not just something like that. I've been in the lab before.

[He'd still like it back, being entirely human doesn't sit right.]

You said something about that last time.

I'd rather end up with a hand in my chest than back down there.

[He's not sure he wants to think about that.]

It felt like my heart was being ripped out. [Metaphorically, of course. Like there was something core to her that was being stripped away. Like there was something inside of her that was trapped and broken and that she couldn't release..]

[He reaches up to his own chest-]

I wouldn't want that either.

You'd die faster if she actually ripped your heart out. I'd probably hurt less. [Her shoulders sag. This isn't why she came here.]

Are you guys doing okay, overall? You can cook and stuff?

[KIDO MOST BAND FOLK PROBABLY DON'T COOK THEIR OWN MEALS YOU'RE JUST WEIRD.]

[He's supposed to have something else in his chest.]

More or less. I can cook well enough, nothing burns at least.

[GENOS IS STILL A BIT OF A HOUSEWIFE. THE BRAINWASHING DIDN'T TAKE THAT AWAY.]

I mean with your arm. I cook for everybody in my band all the time. If it makes it easier, I can bring something over.

You have enough to worry about. I'll take care of my bandmates.

I'm trying to keep busy and I have all my limbs.

[She will turn to drugs or something if she does not keep herself busy.]

I have all of mine too. One's just a little broken.

[Which doesn't feel like anything new.]

[She sighs. You seem worse at falling apart than she does.]

If you change your mind, cooking's my hobby.

[If he does any falling apart, it tends to be physically. Emotionally he's always been stable- and he's slowly starting to come back to himself.]

I'll keep that in mind. If you need somewhere to relax, just knock.

I shouldn't be away from System Crash long. They might get worried.
