[The night before had been everything Rei could've hoped for. Taking Yosuke to bed on a holiday had been the right idea, she thought, and she wasn't disappointed. The connection between the two of them felt deeper than ever, and there was a kind of rightness to it that that left her head swimming pleasantly. Morning came quickly, all too quickly for her tastes, and eventually as the sun probed through the windows she had to concede defeat and roll over. Patting Yosuke's chest gently, the violinist kissed his lips lightly and untangled her arms and legs from his.]

About time to get up, I guess. C'mon, let's get coffee and order breakfast before a shower.

[Slipping out of the bed she drew on a bathrobe and teetered dreamily over towards the door to the main room, waiting for him to do the same. In her haze, she missed the smells and sounds of life coming from the suite's central chamber, unfortunately, so when Rei and Yosuke open the doorway...dawning comprehension and mild panic are the order of the day.

Flowers over Bones had decided to pay their eldest daughter a visit on her mental health retreat...aaaand she'd forgotten those plans the evening before. So now here they were. Rei and Yosuke, the two teenage lovebirds, mussed and disheveled, leaning on one another...in full view of the entire band.

[ Hold on. Back up. Now, Ivan is going to judge a little. But only a little because he hopes that means he fell in love with Rei for her and not because she's a musician. It feels part of a fact set that anyone who knows FoB at any length should know... at the very least that they each have their own symbolic flower. ]

[ Ivan points to each member of Flowers Over Bones as he lists them off. ]

Rei is the Casablanca Lily. Luce is the Madonna Lily. Doctor is Adonis. Pao-Lin, Aster, and I'm sakura. Overall, the band in the Spider Lily.

[He suddenly feels like this was information he was supposed to know. He also really hopes that didn't screw up anything for him.]

I just started listening to you guys recently, so I only knew a little bit about the flower thing, hahah...guess I'll keep that in mind!

[ Okay... if this guy is going to be Rei's boyfriend and help support her when times are tough, he's going to need some help. Ivan rummages in a pocket for one of the flyers he's folded in the shape of a cherry blossom. He unfolds it and smooths it out on the counter. Then he pushes it Yosukes's way.

Please do Rei a favor and look at the website. It has her birthday on it. ]

Fans of Rei often wear a Casablanca Lily as a way to identify themselves as such.

[He nervously takes the flyer, fidgeting with it in his hands. What was he supposed to do with it? He looks back down at it then back up at Ivan.]

I'll wear it! But I'm really not that great at origami...

[If he had his memories, he'd make an excuse about that being more Yu's thing.]

[ Origami? What does origami have to do with... oh. ]

Ah... no... I mean... It has our band website... with facts and stuff...

[ Now he feels bad for being misunderstood, which is just weird for him. He usually doesn't care and won't put in the effort to correct them. It's been happening more often. Why? ]

You can... just wear a silk flower or real... the origami flowers are new... er.

[He actually bothers to look down at the flyer. Oh. It's a Flowers Over Bones flyer. Now he gets it. Whoops. His voice gets a little louder, to compensate making this oh so very awkward for the both of them, as he apologizes and tries to blow it off.]

Oh, yeah, of course!!! T-That sounds great! I'll totally check it out later, thanks! [The "thanks" is a little shaky.] Do I have to wear it...all the time?

[ He's asking the guy who's wearing pink tinted glasses and a flower pin in his hair... Ivan isn't the person to ask about something being "girly." ]

The fans don't, just when they want it to be secretly known.

So that means if I'm seen wearing it, people at Virgo might find out...

[By "people" he means "Edward Blanche" and he's not sure if that spells trouble or not. It hasn't so far, he thinks, so maybe it'll be okay. He just doesn't want Lesedi finding out.]

[ Okay, he brings up a really, really good point. Especially after the events of that party. It could spell trouble. ]

I think she would like getting flowers from you, real or origami. Origami is more... me though... Maybe you can have your own secret message with them.

[ Living is good, but Yosuke will have a harder time of doing that if he doesn't make Rei happy. ]

She... also likes pandas if I remember right.

[He makes a mental note of that. Secret messages is a good idea.]

Yeah, actually our first date was at the zoo. You know that newer panda plushie she's got? That's allllll me.

[ He just earned points with Ivan. Knowing about the pandas and even getting her one is a good thing. ]

Yeah, she didn't even want to buy it because she said it was too much. So I picked it up for her, no sweat. I'm just glad I was able to get it before the paparazzi showed up...

[That kind of sucked, but it's the life of a star, and he loves it.]

[He frowns. She can't even go to the zoo without them hounding her? ]

[ That's because Luce murders all of them and hides them in instrument cases. Where do you think they get the "bones" in Flowers Over Bones? The tabloid writers are next in line. ]

I trust you'll keep her safe if anyone tries to get at her.

[He thinks about that for a second. What if he had to get into a fight? Well at least he's got a backup for that in case they got hurt...]

Y-Yeah, of course I will. Just as long as the dude isn't like, two-hundred and fifty pounds with a mean left hook. Because then, we're totally done for.

[ That's not a good enough answer, Yosuke. Ivan knows about how things ended up at the party. He knows that he's not going to be able to be where his family is to protect him. He's not even sure how he could, but damn it. He's not going to not try! ]

[He's not confident in his fighting skills, or any other skills other than the bizarre ability to heal injuries and wounds. That counts as safe, right? He doesn't think it's filed under what Ivan considers safe though.]

[ Definitely not, but for now, Ivan won't suggest that he needs to take some self defense lessons. The threat of protective brother is there, however. ]

... I think I'm going to pass the rest of these cups of tea to everyone... Is that okay?

[He glances over at the rest of the room. This nightmare was far from over, but he guesses it's now or never that he has to go through the ordeal of meeting Rei's family.]
