The night club Maxxie rents out is in the heart of the downtown, sticking out like a sore thumb with its front entrance looking more like a museum than a club. There's a red carpet leading up the steps, with bodyguards littered about to keep the paparazzi and troublemakers at arm's length. No one with a recognizable face will be turned away from entering the club, and even through the giant, heavy doors there's a distinct baseline and a hint of flashing lights from the dance floor.
Said dance floor is the first step once you're inside. After an extravagant coat check and quick access to the downstairs bar, there's a wide open dance floor with the DJ on stage at the opposite end. There are bodyguards lining the walls, of course - after Naomi's stunt at the solstice party there's no losing them - but there's only one rule at this party: absolutely no one is to touch the mic except for the DJ and Maxxie. The music all night is a blend of genres, but every song is appropriate to dance to. Obviously there are some Flashstep songs thrown in for good measure, but rest assured that every band will probably hear their music in some form or another, whether it's the song itself or a remix to make it a bit more suitable for the mood of the party.
On the two upper levels there are balconies overlooking the dance floor, and it's a bit quieter up here due to some innovative architecture. One may actually be able to have a conversation in the comfortable lounge, and there's another bar here with a few more options for mixed drinks. It's a place to rest up, have a few drinks, and enjoy the music at a more reasonable volume before you head back out to the party. There's even waitstaff floating around making sure everyone has anything they want, and as always the bodyguards are hanging out at the edges of the space to make sure no one starts any trouble.
Finally, there's an entrance to an outdoor balcony on the top level, high enough up to get a nice view of downtown and still be sheltered from the nosy paparazzi down on the street. The temperature has dropped with the arrival of winter, but it's a calm, clear night in Vista city and the alcohol should be enough to keep you warm.
The bars are fully stocked with a few thousand dollars worth of alcohol to keep everyone properly buzzed, and there are a few dealers floating around upstairs ready to sell anything to anyone with a charming smile. The host himself will be bouncing around, enjoying himself as if it was all catered specifically to his idea of the perfect party (it was) and saying hi to anyone and everyone.
[OOC: This is party style! Throw up a toplevel and get tagging! You can get up to any shenanigans you want, but please keep in mind the bodyguards are plentiful and on high alert since the solstice party. Maxxie has, of course, tried and failed to get them to join in on the fun, but they don't seem too overbearing unless trouble starts brewing. The Countdown is here, but please continue making toplevels and threading pre- and post-countdown shenanigans!]

She loosens with a sigh and looks out over the city instead of at her. "He'll be okay. We're taking care of him." As best as they can, anyway. Trying to keep his spirits up, keeping him away from Jin. That kind of thing.
no subject
"That's good. I'm glad you guys're there to watch out for him. Things..."
She frowns, and turns so she's actually looking at Kido. She's not into this whole warring in the same label thing. She's not into this warring label thing at all. The longer Yuffie's involved in all this, the more strange things happen and the more she sees signs of stranger, the more she feels like she needs to worry about people.
"Things have been weird, around HQ lately. Everybody needs to keep an eye out, you know?"
In some cases, a Carnie coming up and talking about how people need to watch out would be a threat. Yuffie, however, just sounds sincere.

"Look, before we keep talking. Are you here to kill me or not?" Because like part of her wouldn't doubt it. They haven't even met before tonight and she's just. Not gonna trust any Carnie ever.
Weird around HQ isn't something that she's going to deny. There's been weird going on in HQ since she got back, and she's pretty sure of it. She's not about to forget that machine Lesedi put her in, or the way Lesedi asked her about her weird visions specifically. She can only assume those are dangerous. And even talking about them is probably dangerous, too.

"Kido. If I wanted to kill you, I wouldn't have let myself be seen talking to you." She looks FAR too chipper about this, and she says this very matter of fact, like it's that simple. To her, it probably is. In fact, she never flat out denies that she would think about killing someone, which is probably even more concerning. "Especially not in public."
"Whatever's going on with you and Xan, that's you. I just like to know the people the tabloids say I'm sleeping with."
She shrugs.

"I don't need anyone else after my head." So yeah, please don't try to kill her.

A beat as Yuffie thinks.
"And it'd get pretty boring, if you ask me."
Then Yuffie looks at Kido intently for a moment and she holds out a hand to Kido, pinkie out.
"Promise I'm not after your head." Pinkie promises are law, okay?
no subject
"Promise I won't break into your penthouse again. So long as he doesn't sell anymore pictures of me to the damn press."
no subject
"If he does that, why don't you let me know?" She pauses, pointing from Kido to herself. "I should be able to shake down a tabloid or two. I've got lots of them in my pocket."
"We're all Pride. The infighting's stupid."
Really? She does believe that. But if Kido gets too much attention for her eyes, someone is going to do something stupid, and then Luci could get caught as well, and she protects her own.
"And I've promised. I'm not gonna be a jerk about it. I clean up after Xan a lot."
no subject
"I don't get why you bother. He never learns. You're just making it okay."
no subject
She smiles again, and it's not apologetic in the slightest.
"Just cause you don't get him, doesn't mean I don't. He's...."
Yuffie pauses, trying to come up with the words, and only managing to hear her own voice reflected back at her in her head.
I still want it!! This an' that an' everything... MINE! And I'm never gonna give any up!!
She closes her eyes for a moment as the green fades from behind her eyes and she turns to look at Kido again.
"He's mine. That's what's important."
no subject
"Just keep him away from Tiger."
That's literally all that matters to her.
no subject
She pauses, and then directs that grin at Kido a little more obviously.
"You know, if the tabloids have to decide I'm randomly hooking up with someone, you're not a half bad choice."
And now, Yuffie's decided to tease, just because she can.
