005 ✽ We be all night
Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.
When: Jan 8th
Where: The basement of the club Blue Heist
Warnings: None planned besides possible/probably intoxication

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?
Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.
Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.
Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.
And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.
Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

[Was she glad?]
No. Just because your lead and I can't play nice doesn't mean I hated your music. I thought you guys were pretty good.
[She can separate personal feelings from talent. It's what's kept her from throttling Alec, after all.]

[She tilts her head, responding in very much the tone of someone who has received a totally unexpected but not altogether unpleasant surprise.]
That's...generous. We didn't accomplish much before Kanami got dropped, and it was pretty much downhill from there.

Talent is talent. As much as our personal lives can affect that, I try not to judge based on whether or not the diva threatens to gouge my eyes out or pulls a knife on me. [She smirks and puts a hand into her pocket, relaxing.] Virgo will keep you on. Who knows-- the next group of people you land with could be the inspiration you need after a rough situation.

You want a drink? [She asks, tilting her head towards the bar.] Sounds like you need one.

[Congrats, Luci, you've flabbergasted her.] No! I'm like fourteen; I can't drink yet!
no subject
[Shit. Well. Okay.]
Sorry, I keep forgetting I'm ancient around here at twenty. Guy I know got some thing that's ice cream and soda, you want one of those? He calls 'em 'Firecrackers'.

On a slightly less depressing note — what was it like coming to a band after working solo? A real band, I mean.

Rough. [She laughs as she leads them to the bar.] Take the five most volatile and self-absorbed people in the scene and turn them into a band-- sounds like a recipe for absolute disaster.
But, we got on the road, had a few nasty fights, ended up taking the tires off a rival band's bus and stacking them on the roof and it was smooth sailing from there. Until we lost Wakana, at least.

[Parker actually has to stop and think about this. She's not an energetic kid, so she doesn't crack up, but her face is the brightest it's been this entire night.]
Oh my god, wow. You guys deserve your spot at the top.

We all knew we'd have to fight for it. Was just fortunate we all wanted to fight for it.

[Coincidentally? This is exactly how Johanna set Luci off-- implying she didn't care about the playing field, and knew none of the players.]
Part of the reason we took her was that she was going to languish in that heap of mediocrity. Yuffie knows when somebody is waiting to kick down the door to the next level, it's a crazy sixth-sense she's got or something.

...sorry, that got depressing and I guess I've already been over that. Just, it'd be nice to have psychic talent-seeking powers.

Some groups just don't... click. But maybe your new guys will be the right fit.

Should be doable.
Maybe not easy, but doable.
