005 ✽ We be all night

Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.
When: Jan 8th
Where: The basement of the club Blue Heist
Warnings: None planned besides possible/probably intoxication

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

She hesitates. Speaking with Tamara is one thing. She may not look at Tamara as a mother figure or a sister, nothing like that. She was a bandmate though and with that came some level of trust.

In the end she chooses to say it somewhat casually, sitting back in her seat. "I've been having a lot of dreams lately. Pretty intricate ones actually."

"Really elaborate imaginary friends mostly." Her tone is fairly derisive. She gives Luce what seems like something between an amused look and an exasperated one. "I'm even dreaming of guys, if things aren't ridiculous enough already."

Mai gives Luce a look that would be considered offended if she put more effort into it. Yeah right, imaginary friends at her age. At this point she hates to admit it's a singular guy because it sounds far too pathetic.

"I apparently haven't filled in that many details just yet. One of them is my age and he's my ex apparently."

At that Mai frowns. Her arms cross, she leans back where she's sitting and she tries to roll around the feelings in her mind. She's terrible at talking about feelings to begin with and it's worse with these phantom ones lingering around.

"I'm tired of losing people. Most of all, I'm tired of being hurt by them. That's the overall impression I get anyhow."

She pauses, then adds lightly. "Beyond being angry. It feels like there's something nagging at me but hell if I can figure out what it is."

"I don't really get close to others." It's a rule of hers. You don't get close, you don't get hurt. That's what makes the dreams even more crazy to her. In them she's obviously close to this trio of people and even close to the little brother character too. And she's never had a little brother in real life.

The violinist gives a thoughtful hum. "Couldn't hurt. It's not like ignoring it is doing much."
