005 ✽ We be all night

Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

"Oh...?" This is certainly a surprise, and it shows on her face as her eyebrows go up. She supposes it shouldn't be too much of a shock. Of course other people would get the idea of taking this opportunity to give presents to anyone they knew on the other side.

Once the present is set down, she takes to unwrapping it with a very careful hand. That means it takes a bit, but she doesn't want to ruin anything by accident. Fragile, yes? Once it's finally done, however, and she opens the box... Luce's hands fold together in front of her mouth, her eyes shining in delight.

"Sora, it's beautiful."

While Luce is opening her present carefully, Sora rips into his a lot more quickly, too excited. However this gives him time to smile over it and immediately put the pendant on before Luce has finished opening hers, so he can watch her reaction. Which just serves to make his smile widen.

"I'm happy you like it! I love what you got me too," he says sincerely, holding the pendant around his neck in his hand.

Just to be careful, because you never know during parties, she'll have to find a place to stow this away until she goes back to the penthouse... But for now, Luce just keeps one hand on top of the music box as she smiles to Sora.

"I'm glad you like it. I know that some boys aren't into much jewelry, but it reminded me of you!"

"It's awesome, I love the little astronaut. And I'm cool with wearing this kind of stuff, especially when it's from people I care about. Like, Jamie got me this," he shows off the bracelet around his right wrist, his smile suddenly beaming.

Sora drops his gaze for a second, thinking, and rubs a finger across the top of his nose, a touch shy but still grinning. He looks back up at Luce. "Hey, can I tell you something?"

"Oh!" Leaning down a bit, she tilts the charms dangling from it with the tips of her fingers so that she can see the symbols better. Simple and charming- a perfect fit for him. "They're lovely."

His question draws her attention from them easily. Straightening up again, she smiles. "Of course, always."

"Okay, but you have to keep it a secret because I don't think we're really like, telling everyone yet. But it's not like a secret secret. We're just waiting until people find out on their own or maybe the moment's right or something. But I'm pretty sure it's okay to tell you." He wants to, anyway. He wants to share his joy with her.

"Uh, anyway, I'm kinda with someone now. Jamie. Since New Year's. I mean like we're still figuring stuff out and I don't know what to call us really, but we want to make each other happy and that's what matters most, right?"

The mention of 'secrets' has her perk up. The specific use of 'we' makes her almost bounce on the soles of her feet. And when he finally spills it?

Luce surges forward, wrapping him in a hug as she gushes. "Oh, Sora, that's fantastic to hear! I'm sure you'll be wonderful for him!"

The hug is not completely unexpected, but Sora still lets out a small noise of surprise at the suddenness of it, before he laughs with joy and returns it.

"I thought you'd be happy! That's why I really wanted to tell you. I'm pretty happy about it too." Understatement. There have occasionally been tears. Joyous tears.

"I bet you are." Laughing, she pulls away with a bright grin. "You'll have to give Jamie my well wishes. We... ran into a little trouble, the two of us, so I'm trying to give him a bit of space, but I definitely want to congratulate the two of you." She gives a playful wink.

"Don't let the paparazzi sniff it out."

"Trouble?" Sora hadn't heard anything about that. He hadn't really been aware that Jamie and Luce knew each other more than just by name and by sight. Still, he might ask Jamie about it a little at some point.

Oh, right. Paparazzi. "I guess I didn't really think about that. You think we shouldn't go on dates and stuff in public then?"

"Don't worry about it." She waves her hand before letting it curl along her chin. "A few things just happened, it's no one's fault, really."

Smoothly, she glides along to the next topic in this little line of conversation. "Oh, no! You should enjoy yourselves. Just because we're famous doesn't mean we're not allowed to have lives of our." She taps her chin playfully. "Just make sure you don't do anything too risque~ where the cameras can see you."

It's a tease. This is Sora they're talking about, after all.

Sora doesn't press her more about the subject of what happened with Jamie. Not just because she makes it easy by slipping right into the next topic but also because he figures he'll hear about it at some point anyway, no need to force it out of anyone.

His cheeks turn slightly pink at her teasing... Partially because something like that kind of pretty much did happen at Maxxie's New Year's Eve party thanks to alcohol, but he's definitely not gonna mention it. Alcohol was only going to be imbibed in very limited quantities in public from now on... Also to be fair there were enough body guards around that night to keep paparazzi away for the most part. "Right, yeah. 'Course not."

Maybe one day, Luce will be the innocent woman so many people think she is. Really. For now, however, she seems to be getting too much of a kick out of teasing her poor actually-innocent young friend.

"Although, now that I'm thinking about it, there is something the two of you should probably start to keep on hand..."

This initially goes almost completely over Sora's head. He can tell she's still teasing him, but he's not sure how or what she means exactly. He's also genuinely curious as to what he's supposed to keep around.

"What? Something for... like, emergencies?" This guess is offered very lightly, almost hopefully. Please be giving him advice for emergencies and not something embarrassing.

"Oh, I suppose you could call them emergency supplies..." Leaning down, she murmurs to him, "Condoms, dear."

It's not even a lie, really. You never know when things might get, as they say, frisky. Safe sex is always important, especially when things are just starting out. And who knows if Sora would have remembered without a reminder?

There is immediate waving of arms, almost like he's trying to push Luce away but really he's just... flailing. He's also as red as anything.

"Right, okay, I know, I know!" The words are spouted very quickly, before he resorts to covering his flushed face with a hand. "Geez, we've only been together a week..."

Giggling, she pulls back. Best to do that before he accidentally hits her.

"Oh, you never know what little things will suddenly spring up! You never know when one thing will lead to another, and..." She waggles her eyebrows with a grin she doesn't even try to suppress. "Surprise."

Sora would have felt really bad if he'd accidentally ended up hitting her with his flailing, so that was a smart move. He eventually settles down, though still quite red.

He groans in continued embarrassment, then outright whines: "If I say I'll remember 'em, can we change the subject? Please?"

"I'll do one better." Grinning, she ruffles his hair fondly. "I'll go off and bother other people, giving you time to compose yourself again. How about that?"

"Okay... Wait, first--!"

He gives her another quick hug, and murmurs, "Thanks, Luce. For the present, and everything."

Laughing, she pats his head.

"It was nothing. Thank you for the present right back. Take care of yourself, alright?"
