A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

[Trucy can tell there's a lot more to this story. Probably more than Ivan himself knows. Because she doesn't for a single second believe he's the sort of person who would leave a friend hanging for no good reason. And maybe he was scared, maybe he did make a mistake, but everybody makes mistakes. She very slowly reaches out, and puts her hand on his.]

Hey... It's okay. This was in one of those vision things right? So maybe there's more to it. Don't get too wrapped up in it until you have the whole story. And...

[Something does bother her about the idea of a person being sent to jail for something they didn't do though. That feels... avoidable somehow. Like someone should have been there to sort that out. But she's doing her best to push those thoughts aside for now. Right now, she has to figure out a way to comfort Ivan.]

Even if you did make a mistake, even if you did mess up and hurt someone, the answer isn't to close yourself off. People make mistakes. We screw up. That kind of thing shapes who we are. Even more than the things we do right, I think. Because we can learn from our mistakes.

So go ahead and get close to people. And when the time comes, even if you made a mistake once before, the next time you'll do better.

[At this point of course, she realizes that she's been practically giving a speech here. And maybe it sounds kinda.... ugh.]

It- it doesn't have to be me of course! That's not what I'm saying! It's just, I know you're a really great person and you deserve better than to be tied down to one bad memory. Vision. Whatever.

I'm not really good at this....

[ Ivan feels like he should return the gesture, somehow. He rotates his hand so he can hold her hand back. ]

No... you... you really are. I mean, my way of cheering you up was food and singing to you. This... this is helpful.

[ There's so much he needs to think about and force himself to do even if the action is to wait. Ivan has been trying to run away, lost, confused, not ready to face or accept this new part of him. He's still not fully ready.

He bits his lip and forces himself to take a deep breath. ]

I... I-I'm not saying no because anyone would be lucky to date you. You're such a great person. But I... I've been seeing strange things, forgetting other things, unable to sleep much because of nightmares, and whatever is going on with my body and this power.

... I'm... I'm afraid that if I accept as I am now... it... it won't be me accepting you. I don't really feel in the right state of mind... and... th-that's not fair to you at all. Um, that isn't to say it couldn't happen, but maybe... maybe not... right now...

Ngh...

[ No matter what he tries to say, he feels like it's going to turn out wrong. It mostly boils down to it's all him and not her. ]

It's fine. I understand. You have a lot of stressful stuff going on and I sure don't want to add to it. So don't even worry about me.

[It's not what she wanted. And it hurts that there's so little she can do for him, but she can at least not make this any harder.]

I still care about you. A lot. But if that doesn't make it too weird, maybe we could... still be friends?

[She still wants to try to help him if she can. Or at least offer him moral support.]

[ He's going to worry. He's going to worry because more and more his focus is on others. Their condition, what they think of him, if they understand...

And he's especially going to worry about people close to him. For now, he's... he's going to trust Trucy. ]

I'm sorry...

[ And he truly is. Trucy is far too nice to have her heart broken by someone like him. He looks down at the origami flower in his hand, reading the haiku once more, and looks back up to her. ]

I'm going to treasure this. I-I mean it.

[ He takes a breath. Poems like this were exchanged between people back in Japan, composed on the spot for an answer. ]

By torrent weather isn't

If a flower doesn't bloom one season, it still may bloom the next. Though, if another flower takes its place, that's fine too.

[ He's not going to ask her to wait for him to figure things out if someone else comes along who she'd rather date. ]

I'm honored to be your friend, and... I hope in the meantime, you'll... come with me on this other journey...? With... whatever is going on with Virgo and Pride lately...? As a friend I can trust and depend on?

[Aw, what a sweet answer. She'll treasure that just as much. She smiles and, a little impulsively, hugs him. Just a quick little squeeze.]always count on me.

[Really he didn't even need to ask. She pulls back from the hug just as quickly, looking a tiny bit sheepish.]

Um, I hope that was okay?

[ If she hadn't broken it so fast, Trucy would have found him returning the hug, despite his aversion to touch because of his power now. ]

Yeah. That was okay.

Good.

Um... we should still hang out sometime. I mean, not as a date. But just like, go get coffee sometime.

[She lets out an embarrassed giggle, tapping her head with a fist.]

Again. Cause we already did that once. You know what I mean.

I know what you mean, and... I'd like that. A lot.

[ And he really means it too. He'd like to hang out and have coffee sometime. Maybe it'd be easier for them to meet once he gets better control of his shapeshifting. ]

Great.

[She bounces cheerfully. Things have turned out okay after all.]

Sooo, do you want to give some of the video games a try? They look fun.

[ In a few days, Ivan is going to work overtime finishing up that song for her. He'll record the song and send it in an email to Trucy. Maybe he'll get the chance to play it live for her, but the recording will have to do in the meantime. ]

I didn't know you played video games.

[ He puts his origami gift aside where it won't get crushed and hands Trucy a controller. ]

[She will treasure that song so very much. And then probably perform a cover of it.]

Well, I'm not too good at them, but I do play them sometimes.

[She takes the controller with a grin. This game doesn't look too hard anyway.]

This one's like a board game, so you'll probably pick it up really quickly.

[ He chose that game because he didn't want to hog the system, and it allows multiple people to play at once. Ivan starts up the game and picks the settings for a quick round. They don't want to leave the party with a half finished game! ]

[Works for me. We can assume they played video games and a good time was had by all.]
