A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

A lot, I imagine, but it's up to you to decide what to tell me, Meril.

I am not particularly... good. At talking of such things. [Meril interlaces her fingers in front of her chest, with enough pressure to make her knuckles white.]

I can help. [Slowly, she offers out her hand.] And I'll be patient. There's no need to rush anything.

Well, it has been bad. Is that a good start? [Really, what else is she supposed to say? She practically pulls her hands apart, so she can reach out to meet Luce's with her own.]

It's a start.

[Gently and keeping away from some of the more populated areas of the club, she starts to lead Meril to a dark corner somewhere. Maybe one of the rooms where the movies are playing. Nice and dark and private.]

What bad part has been on your mind the most?

[Meril comes along quite placidly, her forehead lined as she considered the question.]

To be honest, I am afraid that I have failed. And worse than that, in doing so, I have caused Greg a great deal of misery.

Because of how the band has been separated?

[Finding a suitable enough corner, Luce tries to draw Meril down onto the seats.]

Exactly so. You have seen him, you know how he loves to play... and that is exactly what we are no longer doing. [Okay, okay, she's sitting. She's socially awkward, not physically, Luce!]

[Sorry, Meril. The touching thing is something she's been working on, really, but when she's worried... Well, Luce is a deplorably hands on type of individual.]

Not even for small time event sort of things? Appearances at cafes, or malls, anything?

I have not. Greg might perhaps have been called upon to do so... but it is very different when you no longer have the people you expect and trust to back you up.

[No one wants a solo keyboardist.]

Do you think that would help? If the two of you went out and did something together like that?

To be honest, neither of us have the strength or energy. We are both forcing ourselves to be out here, now.

I see... Is there anything I can do to help you there? Or my band? If you ever needed other instruments, or other voices... It's outside our genre, but, goodness, the critics must be half expecting us to do that at this point.

[A faint smile.]

They use the words "broken genre GPS".

I can run it past him, but I think it would feel too alien. Too much like trying to make up for those we had lost... Wrong. Do you understand?

[Poor Meril knows she's explaining it poorly, yet this is the best she can do extemporaneously.]

I think I do... [A sigh rustles out of her.] At the same time, leaving you two to just be drifting in the wind...

Virgo will have to do something at some point. You and Greg are amazing, but, you need other people in the band. It's too much work on just your shoulders.

Or they could simply split us up.

[And now they come to the heart of her worries and fears. Perhaps she might be so bold as to even say 'their' worries and fears.]

...That's the problem then, isn't it?

It is what we both fear, yes. We have no say in it, and have heard nothing, so we are stuck waiting.

...Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. That's a saying, isn't it? Even if you are split up, that doesn't mean your relationship is over. That doesn't even mean you two can't perform with each other.

But it is not the same. And we would be apart physically, as well, at a time when we have been relying on each other for comfort.

[Don't let your mind run to the gutter, Luce.]

Then spend all the time you can with each other now... Although I suppose that goes without saying.

So we are doing. Perhaps too much so -- it was a struggle to get out of the apartment. We only did so with great effort and the knowledge that we needed to.

I can come and hassle the two of you out more if you'd like.

To be honest, I am not sure we have much of the strength necessary to be hassled. It is a poor time.

I can still check in on you now and then, at least. Bring you something to eat that isn't heated up or made from whatever the staff scrounges up.
