005 ✽ We be all night
Who: The willing from Pride and Virgo
What: Want to know what party sucked? The solstice party. Want to know what party won't suck? Luci and Luce's.
When: Jan 8th
Where: The basement of the club Blue Heist
Warnings: None planned besides possible/probably intoxication

A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?
Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.
Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.
Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.
And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.
Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

He frowns a little more and considers for a moment. "Maybe...have you thought of a dream journal. Write down stuff like that. Or draw or whatever. Maybe if you wrote it, it might cement it better? Just if you do, don't let anyone see it. Not anyone. Specially not your management or the C.E.O." Because Xanxus is a paranoid fuck because of that murder party and he really really doesn't trust anyone in management or above now.

She glances back over to Xanxus, expression grim. "I don't know. This business isn't what I've always wanted but I figured I would be content. I would be sticking it to my dad and be away from them. The longer I'm in this business though, the less I can really remember about why I don't like them and the more I'm dreaming about disliking this other man that keeps getting labeled 'Father'."
And there Mai punctuates her words with, "So what do we do if this does turn out to be management? Do we walk or do we punch them like we probably should do?". Because the last thing Mai will stand for in the end is being used against her will. She knows that.

He sighs and looks at the ceiling for a moment to gather his thoughts. "I don't know. I don't think we can punch them. As much as I would like to, they did...something. Mai, I know this is going to sound insane, but I think it has do with sounds. When Predator took us to that fair, there was a song then. When Predator took me after South Vista, I heard something. A noise that put me flat. And the night of that Solstice party, before everyone started trying to kill everyone, there was a song then. I don't know what it is, or how, but it's just too much of a coonicinece to overlook. Thing is, the only way to test it is to wait and see if it happens again." He frowns. He's not good at sitting and waiting.
"And if we walk...I don't know if we can. Have you ever heard anyone leave the label before? What about those that were fired. Have you heard from them at all? No messages. No email. No twitter. Nothing. It's like they just vanished without a trace. What's to say that that won't happen to us if we try to leave."
no subject
Though his words about the fired people makes her expression dim. "I hadn't thought about it like that. It feels like they moved on more or less voluntarily but you'd think if that were the case, they should still be online." It's a point she's never thought too deeply about since it just seemed easier not to for a long time. Now it seems like a point she can't believe she didn't consider before.

His frown echoes hers. "So that begs the question, where are they? Where did they go? What happened to them?" He sighs. "There are just too many unanswered questions." He just wished he knew how to answer them.
no subject
"... So what should we do about it?" The unanswered questions. The situation. The mysteries in general.
no subject
"I don't know. I don't fucking know, Mai. Only than play along and watch. Watch and try to find where they are weak. We can't fight until we know what exactly what we're up against. So for now, I'm playing along. I'm playing along but from now on, I'm not going anywhere without a set of earplugs." Something he's not even certain will work.
no subject
"Well while you're waiting and seeing, don't do anything stupid."
