A little while after the disaster at Naomi's, those who had attended might find themselves approached- by Luce on Virgo's side, by Luci on Pride's, or perhaps by someone who had heard about it from either of them. The subject of conversation?

Another party. One that involves another mingle of both labels, without being used for any ulterior motives.

Those who seem up to it are given a time and place. Blue Heist is one of the clubs around town that has what could be called a "basement level", for private renting and parties available to anyone who has the cash to spend on it. It's a pretty simple set up, nothing extravagant like the party at Naomi's... Which is absolutely on purpose, let no one tell you otherwise. There's a reason any mics or karaoke equipment has been pointedly removed. All the music is on the system already.

Nope, tonight it's just dancing and drinking, with a couple of rooms to the side that have cheesy movies playing in case you're tired out. No closed doors, no poison at the bar, no murder.

And if you want to take a moment to maybe have a talk to someone on the opposite label to discuss or apologize for the events of the prior night... That's fine too.

Just be careful. Both labels are still under watch, it seems, with a few bodyguards from both sides around the perimeter here and there.

"The daintiness is a disguise." Another giggle. That much is maybe a bit of an exaggeration. Some people just look naturally that way, or are taught it. But still. "That's how nature works, you know! The pretty things are the most dangerous."

Arching his eyebrows, Jecht said, "Danger's just spice if you play your cards right."

"And I take it you like spice?" As though she really needs to ask. Luce's grin says the answer is obvious.

"'Like' spice? Naw. Need it. Crave it. Rather go hungry than eat something bland." A crude but completely apt metaphor -- or possibly a literal statement.

'Possibly', huh? Still, it's making Luce laugh again. "If I ever invite you to dinner, I'll have to keep that in mind then."

"Dinner, or 'dinner'?" Ever shameless, Jecht winked.

"Dinner, with food, in a kitchen and then dining room," she retorts, trying to seem serious and failing horribly. "Although I suppose I'd have to rent a kitchen since I think you're a bit too scruffy to be allowed past Virgo doors."

Also, she wouldn't want him to get murdered, which is becoming a legitimate concern, as it turns out.

She was a hard nut to crack, no lie. If Jecht were the sort to get pissy about that, he'd be grumping his way off.

"Are you kidding? Pecs like these are welcome everywhere."

Good thing he's such a gentleman. Even with the teasing, she's quite fond of him.

"You'll have to prove it by using them to take over Pride, then."

Whoever she was hooking up with was a lucky guy, in Jecht's opinion. "Please, who wants that? You ever notice that the bosses don't exactly seem to be the happiest sorts?"

"So you're sticking to 100% music and nothing else, huh?" Luce chuckles. "There's enough politics and ridiculousness with this, I suppose."

"What're you here for? 'Cuz it's all the music for me. Been playing twenty-some years and gonna be playing another twenty-odd more."

"Well, teenager rebellion certainly kicked it off," Luce chuckles, even as the conflicting image of two different mothers never quite leaves her. "But I can't complain now with how wonderful it feels to be on stage performing."

"Oh man, teenage rebel you? That's an image I'm gonna have in mind for a while." Jecht tossed his hair back and lifted a hand to his forehead in a manly swoon.

His dramatics earn a swat to the arm. "I did run away from home, you know! I've always had it in me. Then I just decided to continue the way I was going."

"I'd beg for you to tell me if pictures of you as a teenage rebel are floating around," he said, grinning straight through the swat, "but if you're just continuing the same way it can't be any hotter than you are now."

"Goodness, I hope there's not!" Luce shakes her head. What she remembers is... a bit hazy, but it was rough. New country, all on her own, how couldn't it be? "It'd ruin my shining reputation, I imagine."

"Well, can't have that. Wouldn't want anyone to cry themselves to sleep after their fantasies got ruined... well. More than now," Jecht added with a wink.

With a tap to his chin, she winks. "I am supposed to be the good role model, you know, so, yes, we can't have anyone's fantasies getting ruined indeed."

"There's role models and then there's role models, babe." The hand on her waist gave her a playful little squeeze.

[giglio_madonna]

"Why, sir!" Reaching up, she tugs on one of his ears and plays shocked. "Are you saying I'm a model?"

"You probably got too much sense to be a model. The looks, sure, but you never hear people talk about that business like it's fun."

Of course, considering the real business they were in...

"And in this business, we get stunning clothes and the comfort of music." Which doesn't make up for things like murder parties, but Luce won't mention that. It's supposed to be a good night.

They're overlooking that. If they weren't, they wouldn't be here dancing together. "And cushy digs. Don't forget the cushy digs."

[giglio_madonna]

"Oh, the cushy digs, hm? Would that be the extremely soft beds, the showers and baths with more settings than anyone thought possible, or the comfy bathrobes with your initials on them?" She's just stating the things Virgo has- who knows if Pride is the same.
