[He can't bring himself to let it go just yet. This is what he's supposed to be, but he can't risk total transformation- there are no sleeves long enough to cover up oversized shoulders.]

It moves like a normal hand. It's impressive, still.

... Did you ever think you were missing it? Did you talk to that helmet guy?

[ Metal bros. Literally. ]

[ He'll let him examine it for a while longer, then. His pajamas shirt covers some of it, but the structure seems to cover his whole forearm -- definitely strapped on tight, as if it's not meant to be removed for something as trivial as bathing. It's definitely sturdy, as well. ]

Yeah. I said it before, remember? That it feels too light...

[ He trails off and frowns. They've had quite a few similar conversations, it's fine if he doesn't remember -- but he's rather unsure now. Or, well, weirded out by the fact how normal this feels despite being anything but. ]

...now it's just right.

Then we really are missing things.

[He studies it for another moment before letting go.]

I was kind of hoping it was just weird visions. [But no, now there's proof to back it up.] The hell's going on? How the hell are those helmet guys doing this?

Shit.

[ He runs his good hand through his bangs a couple of times. Everything is confusing and unsettling and he's still kind of on the edge of flipping out here. ]

Hell if I know. [ He bares his teeth, just slightly. It's not a grin, more like some kind of a feral displeased expression this time. ] Pretty sure they wouldn't have made it into my bedroom and hacked it off without me waking up. [ He scowls and shrugs, almost angrily. ] Fucking magic?

[wounds]

I'm sure I would have heard something if that was how they did it.[He sighs, pinches the bridge of his nose.] Magic... is probably the only explanation.

[He doesn't look happy about it at all.]

Magic doesn't fucking exist.

[ ...a long pause. ]

Or so I thought until I heard about our CEO teleporting all over the place.

[ Just give him a moment to facepalm. Everything's going to shit. More importantly... He turns the mechanical hand over and tries taking a hold of Genos'. The hold is probably pretty hard though he lets go in a moment. ]

Genos, what the hell am I supposed to do with this?

[ He doesn't even know if he can still play and, frankly, that fills him with dread. ]

It shouldn't.

[But all signs say that it definitely does. At least, some kind of weird musical magic has to exist.]

Hide it. I don't think the label wants you to have it if you had to duet with the helmet guy to get it back. Can you play with it?

Yeah.

[ It's a bit muffled into his hand, then he sighs and looks up again. ]

I don't know. I mean, at least it's not my fretting hand but -- I don't know if I want to have it, either...

[ He'll take his career over improved comfort with his own body, thanks. ]

Really?

[He considers it for a moment, but honestly... he thinks he'd prefer to be more comfortable in his body. But then again, that's his entire body instead of just a hand.]

Maybe you can ask for your other hand back. If it's magic and all.

Who the hell would I ask?

[ He doesn't think the managers would like it even if he denounced this illegal gift, and you never knew where to find Gold and Silver until they found you. Plus he had other plans for them next time he saw them. ]

Not to mention... "hey, so I woke up a cripple one morning and I decided I don't actually like it that much, care snapping your fingers and reversing it back?" Fucking absurd.

[ He sighs, rubbing his temples. ]

I'll try to get some rehearsals done. Maybe it'll be fine.

[wounds]

I'm not that used to magic.

[Obviously. Being a robot's about as far away from being a magical being as somebody can get.]

At least it's responsive.

[ True. Squalo's a bit more in the middle. Flames are sort of like magic? Maybe? He's obviously not aware of them so far, though. ]

Yeah, it's... almost surprising. If I put on gloves, nobody will probably notice.

That's probably the best you can do for now.

[ He rubs the back of his head, sighs and gets up. Might as well get on testing that shit out. No time like the present. ]
