[ Yuffie does grin, it's sharp edged and not particularly kind. ]

So, we've all had some really shitty days recently, right?

[She nods as if agreeing with herself.]

I know we have. Manticore and the Carnies both dropped one member. ...In our case again. The label's probably gone completely batshit. And who the hell knows what the top'a the line bands are doin' cause no one is stoppin' them from being assholes.

[And then, very slowly, as if talking to a child.]

So what the fuck are you doing, making it worse. So far, you've gotten in fights with two of the three people I'm keeping an eye on.

[Yuffie leans forward on her elbows.]

Explain to me why I shouldn't wreck you right now. In really, really, really small words.

They started it.

[ Says it with no delay or joviality. Well, that was the case with Xanxus, anyway. He's not even sure what the fuck exactly happened with Luci. His memory of it is... blurry at best. He just remembers an overwhelming sensation of mistrust - toward everyone, for whatever reason. Everyone who wasn't part of his organization. ...that should probably be "his band", right? ]

[ He finishes the glass and actually sets it down, turning to look at her somewhat indifferently, though some teeth finally show. Makes him look more like a cornered beast than anything else. ]

You can if you want.

[ Shrugs and reaches for the booze again. ]

[ Yuffie's eyes narrow, and the rather unkind smile doesn't disappear, though it does quirk into something more like a snarl.

People tend to be worried about other Carnie's violent reactions, but Yuffie is the one with rumors of lighting things and people on fire, even if she prefers more professional methods of destruction. She has a very small tolerance at the moment for people going anywhere near the Carnies, especially people who are supposedly particular Carnie's friends. So that, honestly, is probably why she's so quick to loose her cool.

Or maybe it's just been one of those weeks.

Possibly that too.

She watches him across the short table for a moment, before all at once, she stands, puts one foot on the table and picks up the bottle. That done, Yuffie swings said bottle right at Squalo's head. ]

[ For a moment, he just watches her, looking unpleasantly surprised. You know, wet puppies and everything. Why are you taking his solution away. (If you disagree alcohol is one, contact a chemist.) ]

[ But as soon as that bottle moves for his head, his look changes. Something sharp, even dark glinting in his eyes, his mouth spreading in a positively deranged grin as his left hand shoots up and catches the thing right before it can smash into his temple. The hold's iron firm. ]

Oh hell no. Not like that. [ It's practically hissed through his teeth. ] Thanks, I've had enough of this from your scar daddy.

[ There's... a sound of glass splitting, and the bottle shatters in his hands, the remaining booze splashing both of them. Is -- is it even humanly possible to crush a thick bottle like that? And even if it is, he's just a twiggy musician. There's no way he'd be that strong, right? ]

[Yuffie's clearly surprised when he catches the bottle, and she tries to yank to back to no avail. What the hell? She's watching him like he's a particularly interesting puzzle piece before she hears the bottle start to shatter. Her eyes dart to look at it and she watches at she bottle shatters into fragments.

Yuffie is left very confused and holding the neck of the bottle on her hand. She steps down off the table, looking at the bottle piece in her hand, and she slowly smiles. When a poor bar server tries to ask what happened Yuffie turns her smile on them, calling herself clumsy and ordering a replacement bottle as well as a drink for herself.

She then finally redirects her attention to Squalo, still smiling sharply.]

You just got more interesting.

[That's a way of putting it.]

[ Both the intense look and the grin on his face fade somewhat, leaving just a slight bare of teeth as he watches her settle down. He doesn't look away for even a moment, though, as if they were wild animals engaged in combat with only a temporary break in between leaps and mauls. ]

Say what you want to say or your throat's gonna be next.

[ He's actually surprised how easily that threat comes out of him; might even look a little taken aback himself a moment later. ]
