[ He's got a twitch going on too. Mostly because how dare this shit lecture him. Especially since he knows, all right. He knows he was stupid. He knows his mouth wrote a check his ass can't pay and now he's the absolute bottom of the shit list. If he was on fire, Santiago wouldn't even pee on him to put it out. He knows it. Still, it doesn't mean he likes hearing it.

That and Squalo almost said something... ]

[ His expression goes sour. This is tempting. This is really damn tempting. But there's also something in the back of his mind about not being a shitty traitor to people he likes. A code of honor or something. How dumb. ]

[ He glowers at that and stands from where he had been. He stands and there's that empty bottle in his hand. A bottle he's chucking as hard as he can at Squalo's head. ]

Then I'm not telling you shit except to get out of my recording session, trash!

[ "Trash". ]

[ Oh, he knows. He knows that word, he knows this guy, and he definitely knows the feeling of a bottle hitting his head, the sharp pain spreading, the warm trickle down his face -- ]

[ It feels like his mind's a fast-forwarded movie. There's a grip at the back of his head, roughly clutching his hair before his face meets the desk. Once, twice. His nose is probably broken, but all he does is yell back -- back at this very scarred face framed with dumb feather ornaments. Another frame, and he's being pelted with whiskey glasses. Another, there's scolding hot coffee being poured on top of his head. Another, a vase getting broken -- ]

[ More and more of those visions pile up, zip past, intermingle, and there's one constant in them all: Xanxus. Xanxus is the one doing it to him, and he's just accepting it like the natural order of things. ]

[ He realizes he's spacing out. ]

[ .........uh Squalo it's not like you were in a relationship before?? He grits his teeth as he tries to touch the wound, a bit lost for a moment -- he wants to punch the asshole, but the -- memories? visions? -- are still livid inside him and makes that option seem completely unacceptable. ]

[ He turns on his heel and storms out. ]
