Conversation, or foreplay?

[Those fingers danced up the length of Squalo's arm again-- gently teasing the man.]

How about both?

[ Smoothly, he moves his other arm to take Koumei's hand and entwine their fingers together - and then he's slightly tugging him closer, probably going for a kiss. ]

You'll still have to wash my hair first, though.

[dishevelment]

We can arrange for that, [he said, leaning forward to steal a kiss while he grabbed for the shampoo that was sitting behind Squalo.]

[ He smirks at that, kissing back and giving the other man's lips a playful lick once it's done. Then he moves to go down into the water, getting his hair wet. ...It's a lot of hair. ]

I'll trust the magic of your fingers extends to this.

[dishevelment]

[Chuckling, Koumei started to pour the shampoo onto his wet hands.]

It may not be as good as your's, but I can certainly try!

[And it was a challenge he was more than prepared for.]

You know I have high expectations for you.

[ He sounds amused as he sits up again and moves so that his back's turned to the other man, tilting his head back and closing his eyes. ]

Then here's to hoping that they'll be met, [he hummed, gently sinking his soapy fingers into Squalo's hair so he could massage the other man's scalp.]

And don't skimp out.

[ He's being an asshole playfully, or something. Either way, he'll let the other man do his work and enjoy it. Maybe direct him a bit, asking for a scratch here or there, but for the most part it's on him. It's really nice, actually. Having someone's fingers in your hair. And this whole... casual atmosphere that taking a bath comes with. Nothing outrageous, just two people going about their daily lives. With company. It's relaxing. ]

[Very relaxing. Koumei was fond of solitude, but he hated the feeling of being absolutely alone. There was always the feeling of others around in his mental landscape, and true loneliness was an unknown concept to him.

It was just quiet relaxation with people he was comfortable with. That was the most important thing in his life.]

I never will, [he murmured, firmly massaging the suds through Squalo's smooth and astonishingly thick hair.]

[ Thought like a true family man. Then again, Squalo can relate, to an extent. He can't help but think there's someone extremely important missing from his life. ]

Not when you're handling my hair. [ It'll get a pleased sound from him eventually, almost a purr. ]

[dishevelment]

[And the sensation of missing something important, and needing the company of others who were somehow less-than-stellar, were probably key factors in why they got along so well. Koumei chuckled, pleased to have earned that sort of reaction from Squalo.]

And what wonderful hair it is, too. I must borrow some of your ideas for my own regimine.

[ Could be. There's an awful lot of similarities here. Even though in one case the gay was replaced with a familial bond. Close enough. ]

It's a fact. Hair worthy of a king, huh?

[dishevelment]

[A family that didn't completely care about the gender of their partners in regards to physical pleasures. Close enough.]

Hm...maybe. Although I can think of at least one who might make threats against these lovely locks if he doesn't get his way.

[ Or the amount of them. A+. ]

Oh? Should I ask?

[dishevelment]

[A wistful chuckle.]

My brother. No one you'll ever meet-- and the two of you would probably hate each other.

[Though, in fairness, Kouen acted like he hated everyone at some point in time.]

Never say never. [ Not that he's... particularly interested. But hey, nothing so far has suggested that their visions don't come from the same place. Actually, that'll be another good topic for their ~notes comparing~. ] Plenty of people hate me. Others love me. It evens out.

[dishevelment]

Thus is the nature of war and politics, [he intoned mildly, running his fingers gently through Squalo's hair to undo the tangles.] I'm sure there are people who hate me as well; they just stay quiet about it.

For now. [ He's enjoying it, definitely. He actually seems to be relaxing more and more throughout. ] That's the price we pay for having a vibrant personality. Gets people's attention, positive and negative.

[dishevelment]

[Wasn't that supposed to work the other way, Mister Requiem Rain?]

Hm. I suppose you're right. The price of Stardom too.

[ What is he not allowed to relax himself? Fuck off. But sure, it's probably working both ways. Watch them fall asleep in the tub and not get anything done. ]

Yeah. You usually have one if you get the other.

[dishevelment]

[They better hope they at least have the good sense to try not to drown. :|]

Yeah, that's right....kind of like a concept I've stumbled upon in my research-- yin and yang. You can't have light without darkness, day without night, and all that. It's rather poignant to think about.

[ HOPE IS WASTED ON THE HOPELESS but Squalo would probably climb out if he thought he was falling asleep so there's that. ]

I like that. [ A thoughtful noise. ] People get to keep their hands and reputations clean because someone else is doing the dirty work to support them.

[Mei might climb out and pass out naked on Squalo's bed-- but that was another situation to deal with. Later.]

Perfect descriptor for life, isn't it? I like it, too.

[ Sounds like a plan. ]

So. [ His voice's suddenly quieter, just a bit, and he opens his eyes to give the other a Look. There's both amusement and seriousness in it. ] Are you the light or the dark, Koumei?

[dishevelment]

[An interesting, and one that made Koumei's hands slow to a stop while he mulled over it. In his mind's eye he could see things that he knew he shouldn't even understand as intimately as he did-- the bodies of the dead and dying, the scrolls inscribed in magical characters that kept a body from decaying, a veritable army of soldiers awaiting his words...]

I'm not sure,[he murmured quietly, resuming his work.] I think I have a little of both, but doesn't everyone?
