"I figured." He keeps fiddling with his hair, uncertain how to proceed. He gets the feeling he's not supposed to discuss this with anyone, let alone people in Pride. "This is the first time I've noticed someone else doing it."

"Someone else? So it's not just a thing we can do?" Oh that's a relief. Maybe. If there's more than a few of them, Lesedi can't punish them all, can she?

"I thought it was just me 'til now." His chuckle is a little forced. It's strange enough when other people have weird things happening to them, but when it's him it feels more wrong, somehow. "Should've known. Weird powers are going around these days."

Kido sighs and relaxes at that. "This isn't like anything I've seen. I wonder what's causing it..." If Greg has it, it's probably not related to those kids.

"There's supposed to be... a couple guys going around?" Even backstage, he's anxious about who might hear. "But I haven't met them. It's gotta be something else."

"I don't think it's them." She knows the guys well. She talked to Gold recently. A few days ago. But this isn't like the other things. It doesn't feel like it's "her."

"Be careful if you do. They mean well, but..." She lifts a strand of her hair. Green isn't normally a natural color.

"Yeah, I've heard." Some of the effects he's seen are... pretty extreme. "It's hard not to wonder, though. He still hasn't figured out much about his supposed other self.

"Whatever this is, though..." He chews at his cheek, before admitting, "For something so weird, it's pretty cool."

"Yeah, I guess. If you like that kind of thing." But she... glances to Genos. She can't help it. She's worried. He was... aggressive in the song, and she can only imagine how Lesedi would handle it if she found out.

She doesn't ever want her to find out.

In truth, he finds it more frightening than he does cool. But... "It seems like everything that's happening to us lately has been... you know." Pretty actively terrible. "At least this one's something we get a little bit of say in, you know?" They didn't get a say in having it in the first place, or know how it worked, or really much of anything, but. He's grasping for silver linings.

"You can control it?" Kido's eyes widen. She obviously hasn't figured that one out yet.

"Um, a little. I'm still figuring it out." He only really noticed it was happening once things started getting weird. "Seems like you guys clued into it a lot faster than I did. You'll probably get the hang of it in no time."

"We didn't really... mean to do it, though." She runs a hand through her hair. She is absolutely terrified about how Lesedi's going to react but--

She looks Greg up and down. "How's Virgo treating you?" Does she have to punch somebody? She will. She's totally willing

Greg just shrugs at that. Neither had he, but he hadn't even noticed it was happening until recently. He still counts it as a leg up in their favor.

Her question, though, makes him glance off. "Things've been quiet lately. My band's... we're getting new people soon, I think."

"It's not as bad as it sounds. Molly's working out really well. I don't think she's interested in staying forever, but she's a good kid." She's trying to be reassuring. She still misses their original member.

[panspermia]

"Yeah... I'm sure once things get moving again, it'll be all right." The penthouse has been downright dreary. "They're gonna be putting me on a different instrument. Keeps me on my toes."

[blindfoldcode]

"They're changing what you play?" She grips her bass tighter. "You okay with that?"

"I'm living with it." He shrugs, doing his best to downplay the severe disappointment he'd felt at first. "I'm all right on bass, and I can still play guitar off stage, anyway."

She can't imagine that she'd be okay being shifted to another instrument but--

"I'm biased, but you're at least on the best instrument, now."

That earns a laugh. "I can't argue with that. Must mean everything's looking up from here."

"Maybe we can duet sometime, if you really start to miss the guitar." Considering that seems to be Kido's thing now...

"I'm up for that any time. Club show or no."

"Good to hear." She would actually like to get to know Greg better. He does seem like a cool dude.
