[There's a few things that Genos is good at. Singing, the guitar, apparently, in an alternate life, fighting. Useful things, for the most part.

The other, slightly odder thing- is gathering information. He's gathered as much as he could from the public records, but now it's time to do some footwork.

He's tracked her down to a tiny, cramped music store. Honestly, it's cramped and there's basically no way to move around without bumping into the few other people in it.]

[Parker is, thankfully, small herself, which is a remarkable advantage in a place like this. While older and larger patrons must edge cautiously around the cramped shelves and cluttered instruments, Parker has more than enough space to sit herself within the aisle and examine the bottom-shelf merchandise. She thumbs through sets of sheets, examining them with a critical eye, before standing up directly into Genos.

[At 5'10" Genos is a little too big to be in here, but at least he's fairly good at maneuvering around. He hasn't run into quite as many people as he could have.

He takes a step back after Parker's run into him.]

It's fine. Did you find something interesting?

Not really. I was just looking through classic rock sheets, but there's nothing good enough to spin out, just stuff that everybody already knows.

[wounds]

Don't like the popular stuff?

[trn451]

Well, it was more for inspiration. [Her tone is dry, but the meaning is serious.] You can't get punk out of pop no matter what Virgo thinks.

[wounds]

[He knows a tone similar to that.]

Aren't you in that pop punk band? How'd that happen?

[trn451]

They wanted an answer to the Carnies. I did punk, I got put in. It didn't work out. They're keeping two of us around, so I guess they still want something out of us, but...

Well. It's a good time to make sure I could do a solo career if I needed to.

[wounds]

That's gotta be rough. Two isn't even close to an entire band.

Thinking about going solo?

[Parker scowls, though not at Genos.] I don't want to; it's a hellish production schedule and I got things out super slowly when I did it before I came here. But if we don't get anybody filling the slots, well, what're they gonna do? Send just the two of us out and make their apologies?

[wounds]

I heard the execs were more likely to just put whoever's left into a new band.

[trn451]

[That gets a snort out of her.] I heard, yeah. Think the world's ready for symphonic punk metal?

[wounds]

[He seems amused at the thought.]

Never know until you try it. Could be an experimental thing.

[trn451]

We can fight those indie guys from Pride. Cosmic something? Be even more niche than they are.

[wounds]

Hah. I'd love to hear that sound.
