It's been weeks since Defying Atmosphere made their last performance. Public appearances are limited, but Greg and Meril have been boosted to fame as the faces of the band. Any public memory of Weasel, Gaige, Lora, and Krieg seems to have vanished all together. Kimiko keeps telling them not to worry their pretty little heads about it; just keep signing the merchandise she gives them and get to work. She knows what she's doing.

And clean this place up, you pigs.

They have not cleaned this place up. Rather than the wild mess expected of the rockstar lifestyle, the penthouse more closely resembles a college dorm room, complete with soda cans and pizza boxes built up since the last time the maids swept through. What isn't covered with junk food wrappings is stacked with pages upon pages of half-finished songs and diligently signed headshots.

"Your own space? Holy shit!" Marty grins another one of those shitfaced grins, looking from Greg to Meril both. "How'd you guys get this? Man, what I wouldn't kill to have a space to myself..."

Oops. "Well, I mean, before I joined, I mean." Marty doesn't want to get on these guy's bad side. That is like, the biggest no no that can ever be no'd. "Back home."

"We got it the same way as you, guy!" Marty's excitement is infectious; it's the same as Greg's when he first signed on, months ago.

"Wait 'til you get a full look of the place. A year ago I was performing out the back of my car, this setup's a dream."

"You are living the high life now," Meril said with a little smile and a little real warmth in her voice. "For all its imperfections, one cannot complain about the amenities. Shall we show you around?"

"Man, I wouldn't complain about nothin', honestly." He looks around left to right, before beaming at the duo. Marty either seems really, really happy about all of this, or overly excited to the point of annoyance. It's a hit or miss with him right now, honestly.

"If, if you don't mind." Marty looks from Greg to Meril, running a hand once or twice through his hair. "Sure!"
