Ear piercing doesn't sound bad at all considering the other options. If little kids can sit through it so can he. ]

I might has well ask- How much does it really hurt? I've heard horror stories about piercings but those were always in very different body parts. I'm guessing it's not that bad in the ear.

It's just a pinch. A strong guy like you should be able to take it just fine.

Rubbing alcohol isn't the type kept in the cabinets around here. A shop definitely sounds better- I'm not very interested in wearing thumbtacks or safety pins as my first set of earrings.
