Who: the Flashstep boys, open to other Pride members and in some cases to all!
What: the day-to-day lives of Pride's only favourite boyband as well as some performances and events from the album release!
When: the week(s) after the gala! (10/06 - 10/17)
Where: Flashstep penthouse, Pride Records HQ, out and about!
Warnings: it's a boyband and Maxxie is a member - tobacco use in one prompt

The boys are busy with their album release. They're putting on performances, attending event, and are generally being carted around for the benefit of their fans. But they can't be working every minute of the day, can they?

[He grins at Yosuke as he chews on his scrambled eggs.]

You're on. [Good. Now might be a better time to bring it up, because he still feels guilty.]

Hey, Maxxie, about the Gala...you're not still mad at me about that, are you?

[He does look genuinely apologetic, because he is.]

[Maxxie looks down at his food, smile fading. He sighs.]

It's fine, dude, you just... you have to stop saying shit like that, you know?

[punchesyu]

Yeah, I know. [He scratches the back of his head, fluffing the back of his hair up a little.]

Sometimes my mouth says stuff that I don't mean to say. I'll try to cut it out.

[His fist raises, for a fistbump.]

We're still bros though! No matter what.

[Maxxie raises an eyebrow at Yosuke's hand, and then he returns the fist bump with a sigh.]

Yeah. Bros.

[punchesyu]

Man, don't sound so down about it or anything...

[He's getting the feeling he mighta said something dumb again.]

[It's taking a lot of effort for him not to roll his eyes. He puts down his fork and sits back in his seat, shoulders slumped.]

You just...

[He looks up at Yosuke, trying to look helpful.]

You don't have to try so hard, alright?

[punchesyu]

Uh... [He blinks once, smile falling. Yosuke isn't offended, rather, he's just a little confused.]

What do you mean...?

[He asks genuinely enough. It hasn't really occurred to him that maybe he does try a little too hard (and oh god does he try too hard a lot.)]

[Maxxie sighs (again) and thinks on it for a moment.]

You're a nice enough guy but you're just trying so hard to be friends with everyone, and really all you have to do is just not be a dick. Think about what you say, yeah?

[punchesyu]

[He can't deny that his mouth gets him in trouble- it's happened plenty of times, but he doesn't want to admit to trying too hard. He beats the idea back, maybe Maxxie is just a little sore with him still or something. But...what if Maxxie was right?]

Yeah. Sorry. I'll totally make it up- [He stops himself. Yeah. Maybe Maxxie is right...]

Hahaha...I'll work on it... [He sweats a little. He can just feel the deep burning embarrassment that has to be showing on his face.]

[Maxxie shrugs]

I'm just telling you to stop stressin' out so much. It doesn't have to get weird or anything.

[punchesyu]

[He takes a deep breath. Yeah. He seems to take that advice to heart.]

Thanks, man. I'm just glad I cleared things up with you.

It's nothing, dude. Just try to think on it a little harder next time you're worried about anything being a bit gay.

[He picks up his fork and starts picking at his scrambled eggs again.]

[punchesyu]

[When he puts it like that, it makes Yosuke's mind go places he didn't want it to go. At all. Ever. He smiles nervously, wondering if the emphasis on the word gay was intentional to get him to sweat. No. Maxxie wouldn't do that, would he? But now he's thinking about it and trying not to say something dumb.]

[So he jams a little food in his mouth, fights the spaz attack that threatens to come on, and takes a big, long swig of his drink. Okay. He's okay.]

Wheeeeeeew! Well, I know I'm not gunna have to worry about that anytime soon. [He winks. This has a purpose. He's just being himself.]

Cuuuuz I got a date.

[Maxxie raises an eyebrow at him, and the corner of his mouth pulls into a smirk.]

Really? With an actual girl?

[He should of expected this kind of reaction though.]

She's drop dead gorgeous! Oh man, you gotta see her dude!!!!

[Maxxie nods, impressed, but he can't help but wonder what would happen if the situation was reversed - only because this is on the heels of the conversation they just had. He kind of wants to roll his eyes, but it's fun to see Yosuke so excited.]

What's her name? She a fan?

You know that one group from Virgo, Flowers Over Bones? It's totally the violin player from it!

[It wouldn't be fun to just tell Maxxie her name right away.]

[Maxxie frowns as he tries to remember, his brow furrowing in concentration.]

The one... with the long dark hair?

[punchesyu]

That's her!! Her name's Rei.

[He says a little louder than he should. He's so unbelievably excited.]

All I had to do was ask her to dance, and one thing led to another...! [Now he's just bragging.]

[For Maxxie, "one thing led to another," means something way different than he assumes it does for Yosuke. He follows along, nodding, and then he pauses while he tries to put together what exactly Yosuke means.]

You... asked her out?

[punchesyu]

You bet! I was totally smooth, what can I say...

[He's so smug, no he wasn't smooth, he just got lucky and hit on the right girl.]

[Maxxie doesn't quite believe him, but he'll play along for now.]

So what's the plan for the big date? Dinner and a movie?

[He winks at Maxxie. He actually has two dates, but he refrained to mention the other one.]
