006 ✽ Get Down
Who: As many people in Virgo HQ as Luce can grab
What: The best way to get to know new people is over breakfast, didn't you know?
When: A nice cheery morning a vague time in January after everyone's newbies have met their band
Where: The Flower Over Bones penthouse
Warnings: None planned! Feel free to treat this as a mingle log
The first month Luce arrived at Virgo HQ, she didn't waste any time before establishing some sort of lunch everyone could get together at. As January drags on, it's something she finds herself thinking about as new faces fill up the gaps where she had known others.
It's part of the reasons why, one early morning, she can be found bustling to all the other band penthouses to deliver a simple invitation she makes sure everyone gets to hear: a breakfast taking place in the FoB house for all Virgo musicians.
FoB penthouse looks like a lot of the other bands, with some clutter here and there that fits its inhabitants including a small dartboard with various articles about the members pinned there with shuriken. The television is playing what seems to be an early day sci-fi movie marathon and there's already a pretty impressive spread of pancakes, waffles, french toast, and various cut up fruit for people to dig into.

=D
Rei echoes, lamely. She wasn't sure where that came from, it'd just...popped out. She couldn't explain it, but since the issue isn't pressed, she drops it. And she finds herself rather puzzled by the man's chatter...
However, she gets it. Absolutely.
"He was traveling the entire multiverse to find out the location of her secret magical sword, of course. And he's come to Uranus to search for clues." Laughing delightedly with the odd game, she continues. "Of course, his motivations were something of a mystery. Why would he be doing such a thing?

Bill cheers a particularly over the top, poorly done explosion before the programs cuts to a commercial. He turns to Rei and offers his hand.
"Name's Bill, by the by! Bill Cipher; Vandalism in Progress."
<3 indeed
Yes, this man was actually pretty interesting. Far more than the dumb movie, and the antics were well worth being dragged out of bed early today. Taking his hand in hers, she shakes, and dips her head genially.
"I'm Rei Hino, violinist for Flowers over Bones. And I have to say, I love you guys sound. It's really unique."
no subject
He winks-- or.. blinks? Admittedly, it isn't always easy to tell behind his eye patch.
"But shucks, we're no FoB! You guys survived all the band cuts, that's gotta count for something."
The jazz player shakes with just a tad too much enthusiasm before leaning back comfortably.
"Looks like i'm meeting the whole crew this morning; I already know your two leads, who else you got?"
no subject
"We've got a shamisen player and percussionist though. Ivan and Pao-Lin."
Her head swivels around curiously, looking for the pair but not finding them out in the open.
"They may be in another room, but they'll turn up later I'm sure. Pao-Lin hates horror movies, and I think this..." she gestures towards the nonsensical movie a Wilhelm scream echoes through the room. One of the Uranians was battering through a door. "Was billed as horror."

"If you're scared of bad production value, maybe."
He scrunches his face up thoughtfully.
"You know, now that you mention it, I can see that whole family angle you guys got going. Got that vibe from your bassist when we first met, anyway."
Luce called him 'dear.' Bill can't even remember someone calling him that, ever. He shrugs.
"But Ivan and Pao-Lin, eh? Can't say I've seen em. I'll have to keep an eye out, sometime."
no subject
Rei snorts again and sighs, turning to give Bill her full attention. He seemed alright, really. Quirky, but she liked that. A bit like the Doctor, but with an edge.
"I'm sure they'll be around. But hey, what's your band like? I think you're the first person from it that I've met."

Bill opens his phone to a small album and points to what appears to be a woman in a motorcycle helmet. The media were always clamoring to get the inside scoop of what face really lies beneath the mask, but if anyone has ever been privy to knowing, they certainly weren't talking.
"Then we got Sans on Trombone- he can be a bit hard to catch, amazing how some people can be everywhere and nowhere useful, at the same time!"
There is a group photo of the band on stage... with Sans missing, having not shown up to that practice. HOPEFULLY a sign of the past- the man has seemed a little more attentive lately. Bill at least looks happy in the few shots he has with him. He slides the screen over to show a smaller, mousy sort of blonde with his face obscured by his own equipment.
"Bai Shen working Synth- though frankly, he'd rather be working camera."
Next the screen switches to an energetic looking girl, decked out in a flashy outfit and rocking out on even more decked out drum kit.
"Haru on Percussion! I'm on sax, aaand that's it."
Rei may notice something important missing. Namely that Virgo still hasn't given them a new lead...

She does giggle here and there at the little jokes Bill seems to be telling her about Sans and actually laughs when she notes that the guy's not there for the group photo. Seems fitting.
When he finishes up though, that does raise a question.
"Do you have a lead? Or are you more like Flashstep, where everyone's a lead?"
no subject
"EH, more like HAD a lead; doing a bit of a freeform thing right now."
Which while good, wouldn't cut it for Virgo Entertainment's big leagues for long. Bill knew full well you couldn't survive this establishment without a vocalist; not easily anyway, but if Blanche is going to
murderfire them all, why not tell as many as you can about it and go down kicking and screaming in as undignified a way as possible first? He waves the worry off noncommittally.“A minor hiccup when it comes to making unconventional music. We’re Vandalism in Progress, we’ll sucker someone into making a deal with us soon.”
