006 ✽ Get Down
Who: As many people in Virgo HQ as Luce can grab
What: The best way to get to know new people is over breakfast, didn't you know?
When: A nice cheery morning a vague time in January after everyone's newbies have met their band
Where: The Flower Over Bones penthouse
Warnings: None planned! Feel free to treat this as a mingle log
The first month Luce arrived at Virgo HQ, she didn't waste any time before establishing some sort of lunch everyone could get together at. As January drags on, it's something she finds herself thinking about as new faces fill up the gaps where she had known others.
It's part of the reasons why, one early morning, she can be found bustling to all the other band penthouses to deliver a simple invitation she makes sure everyone gets to hear: a breakfast taking place in the FoB house for all Virgo musicians.
FoB penthouse looks like a lot of the other bands, with some clutter here and there that fits its inhabitants including a small dartboard with various articles about the members pinned there with shuriken. The television is playing what seems to be an early day sci-fi movie marathon and there's already a pretty impressive spread of pancakes, waffles, french toast, and various cut up fruit for people to dig into.

Fortunately for Bill, there's always plenty of paper and pens about in the FoB penthouse. Doctor needs something immediately on hand when he's hit by creative surges. It happens a lot.
"My, that sounds quite handy. I suppose it's the kind of cipher that's always been around then, hm? Numbers have probably been around for as long as humans could add one and one together."

Bill is on a roll, hardly looking up as he begins writing out the basic rules to the Cipher, idly listing the three basic ways numbers were found in society in a random fashion on the page.
“Just because humans remember making something, it doesn't mean the idea didn't exist elsewhere first! When a symbol makes enough impact at some point in its existence, it echoes throughout the Universe, defying the laws of space and time to retroactively create itself; assuring its own longevity, which-”
Without even being aware, he finds he has connected the listed points... into a triangle. Bill stares at it for a moment, mouth going dry.
“Which...is... lucky for us! You don't get much closer a Universal language than you do with this one. Your intended audience is sure to notice; all you have to do is feed them the key.”

A delicate sniff. Nooo, he doesn't smell like absinthe or other illegal substances with a notable scent. Not that it means much, but still.
"Didn't defy the laws of space and time in your head, did you, Bill?"

Bill allows Luce to... do whatever she is doing, with a wavering expression. Really, Luce? After everything he has said, it's not the 'blood of the innocent' or his directions on 'how to manipulate and control the mass media through shoddy journalism' that gets you second guessing his sanity? At the very least, the change mood has Bill finally able to tear his eye away from the drawn triangle. The hand still holding onto the pen quivers.
"Wouldn't you? You can't tell me you haven't at least thought about it before. Never tried to imagine something unimaginable, just to see if you could?"

Shaking her head in amusement, Luce makes sure that the oven isn't catching on fire real quick again. "Well, if you can imagine it, than it becomes imaginable at least for you, doesn't it?"
